While you’re out there doing your best to live life well, there’s a good chance you will latch onto the assumption that money equals happiness.
Logically you might know this isn’t true, especially if you know lots of rich people who are miserable.
Yet you may continue to set goals that are focused on getting more money, with the secret belief that more money will make you HAPPIER.
I know I’m not alone in having made this assumption in the past. I myself have thought “oooh my life would definitely be so much easier if I had a million dollars in the bank.” Or “life must be easier for mega-rich people.”
It helps us pay our bills. It puts food on the table. It provides us with the opportunity to buy a home, get an education and travel etc.
For me, more money means more freedom.
However to confuse this financial freedom with happiness is a rookie error.
