I didn't see my own patterns keeping me stuck. And I'm a nervous system coach.

This post is a bit vulnerable for me to write.

Late last year, I got honest with myself about something: I wasn’t running my coaching practice as a business. I was running it as a hobby, dressed up as a business. And for a long time, I genuinely didn’t see it that way.

I loved the coaching part of my job. My clients were getting real results. In my mind, I was doing the thing.

What I couldn’t see — in truth, what I didn’t want to see — was that my nervous system had drawn an invisible line. It would let me lean into the parts that felt familiar, safe, and enjoyable — the deep conversations, the one-on-one transformation, the knowledge transfer. But the numbers, the real visibility, the exposure — actually putting myself and my work out there to be truly seen, evaluated, and yes, picked apart — it created resistance to all of it.

Underneath the “I’ve got a full slate of clients” and “it’ll work itself out” was something else: fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of trying fully and finding out.

That same pattern showed up in other parts of my life — including the course I’d been meaning to build for years. Too busy. Need to learn more. Not ready yet. And if I’m being honest, they were all technically true. It felt responsible, even.

The sneaky thing about protective patterns

Here’s the thing about the nervous system that most people don’t realize though: the protective patterns inside us often sound smart. Reasonable. Logical. Even credible. That’s what makes them so hard to spot and see clearly.

I'm a nervous system coach. This is literally what I teach and guide my clients through. And yet, it took me awhile to see my own blind spots —until I was finally willing to get honest with myself. And it wasn’t because I lacked self-awareness — but because these patterns are often very convincing. There are layers of them, and they don't just disappear. You learn to recognize them, understand what they're protecting you from, and work with them differently — over time, with practice. But this particular pattern, the one I'm describing here, was hiding in plain sight. And when I finally saw and worked through it, I knew I had to build something to help others do the same.

Something cracked open late last year.

I knew I could keep going the way I was — but I had to own that choice and be OK with the level I was operating at. Or I could start intelligently stretching into the territories that felt unsafe, yet I knew I needed to go in order to scale my business and my impact. And not in a way where I’d force my way through them — but actually work with my nervous system to expand into the version of me that could hold all of the discomfort that comes with truly being an entrepreneur, as opposed to a hobbyist.

I chose the latter.

This is what I teach. And I had to learn it in my own business the hard way — which is probably exactly how it was supposed to go.

In the last three months, I finally started diving into the things that scared me. The numbers. The real visibility. The risks. The consistency. And I finally built the course I had been talking about for a long time. And it wasn’t because I felt ready, but because I know that ready rarely comes first. We have to stretch into that readiness.

Which is, not coincidentally, exactly what the course teaches.

What I built from it

It’s called UNSTUCK. A nervous-system-based behavior change system for one very specific pattern: you know what you need to do, you want to do it, and you still can’t make yourself. Not because something is wrong with you — but because your nervous system has has flagged that step you’ve been circling around as a threat. And until that changes, no amount of motivation, strategy or willpower is going to override it.

It’s live. And if you’ve read this far, I think you already know if it’s for you.

A note before you go

I want to leave you with this: inside each of us is a creator. I don’t care who you are. You are meant to create something extraordinary in this lifetime. And it is my sincerest mission to help you feel safe enough to step into the level of greatness you’re destined for — without compromising your health, your relationships, or your sanity.

You can have all of what you desire in life — we just need to get your nervous system on board.
