TRUMP: Ego Over Economy

Donald Trump was bound to embarrass himself the second his administration found itself unable to consistently justify why he was at war in Iran.

Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, has claimed that Operation Epic Fury, America’s operation against Iran, was started by an indication of an imminent military action against Iran. He claimed that Iran would “immediately come after us” if attacked by Israel or America, and described the completely random attack on Iran as a “proactive” defensive decision to eliminate any opportunity to retaliate for an attack that ultimately never even happened. This excuse came after Rubio had previously stated that Israel was going to attack Iran regardless of whether America attacked with them or not.

Trump has contradicted Rubio repeatedly, stating that AMERICAN strikes were going to happen regardless, due to supposed “broader threats” such as Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

America assumed that, although Iran had taken no action against them, they were going to use the nuclear material in their possession to severely hit America and its allies. In reality, Iran had constantly stated that the nuclear program was for peaceful, civilian purposes such as medical isotopes and research. It has also been debated that Iran was going to use nuclear material to develop missiles to defend itself from any potential attacks from Israel and America, similar to how North Korea constantly threatens the use of its nuclear missiles whenever anybody confronts them in even the slightest way.

In any case, America and Israel wildly claimed that Iran had to be planning on making nukes to destroy the world with. This is not the first time such claims have been spread. As a matter of fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been claiming that Iran would have weapons of mass destruction ready for use “any day now” for almost 40 years.

However, recent rumors regarding Iran’s “desire to build nukes” came as a result of the most malicious mediators in history.

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who led American negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, apparently conducted their talks without any nuclear technical experts at all, and based every single concern of theirs on a research reactor, which is unable to make enriched uranium at all. When Iran made an offer to get rid of their highly enriched uranium in exchange for keeping their Tehran Research Reactor (made for them by Eisenhower), the men immediately decided that this must have been only a demand to become a nuclear power, and immediately shared this opinion with President Trump, who took their side although they did not even know about past agreements with Iran. Their claims were also debunked by virtually every mediator they worked with.

Regardless, Witkoff and Kushner, who likely fumbled any chance at peace with Iran intentionally as a result of their demonic worship of Israel, sent us into an unnecessary war, which Trump’s ego will likely keep us in for an entire year, if not longer.

Trump, in his run to destroy the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has created only a regime that is even more defiant of him, and which will continue to defy Trump’s wishes regardless of whether Trump leaves Iran with everything he wants or not.

As of now, the current Supreme Leader is Mojtaba Khamenei, the deceased Ayatollah’s son. Based on reports following his appointment, it has been suggested that the junior Khamenei is just as anti-Trump as his father was, and Trump himself called Khamenei’s appointment “unacceptable.”

Analysts have suggested that under Mojtaba, the Iranian regime will become even braver in its attempts to fight off America and Israel.

Trump has also taken Iran’s “brave fighters and protestors” and left them in an even worse position than they started out in. Not only has the Khamenei family kept its hold on Iran strong, but almost 2,000 Iranian citizens have been killed as of now as a result of American and Israeli attacks.

The global economy is also immensely likely to be severely impacted by Trump’s ego, and it’s all because of one location.

The effective, ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz is currently threatening countries all over the world. Before the closure of the Strait amidst the ongoing conflict in Iran, almost 30% of the world’s oil exports, 20% of global liquified natural gas, and about 30% of global fertilizer exports passed through it.

For now, the closure doesn’t appear to be an issue, since Trump has only been attacking Iran for two weeks. Still, economic modeling suggests that if the blockade continues for a month, there will be an overwhelming risk of recession. Oil prices have already been swinging sharply, and now Iran is doing whatever it can to make sure the “effective closure” of the Strait turns into a permanent closure. This includes bombing ships and placing mines around the Strait.

Essentially, Iran is betting that America and Israel will give up first in a test of endurance where they completely cripple the global economy, and as expected, America has no plan for an outcome that put off an American war with Iran for DECADES, at all, because they expected Iran to fall on the first day.

Trump has done virtually nothing to combat Iranian attempts to keep the Strait shut down, outside of coldly threatening Iran so that the government’s X accounts can have really cool edits to push out to distract from... pretty much everything Trump has done this past year. At most, he has only taken down 16 Iranian vessels participating in laying mines or attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and it’s very likely that at minimum, dozens more can just go out and replace them anyway. Besides, Iran has sunk 16 vessels so far itself, most of them tankers.

America is likely never going to be able to freely clear the Strait without suffering enormous damage from Iranian counter-measures. Iran has hundreds of anti-ship cruise missiles it has yet to deploy. Iran also has thousands of Shahed drones that American ships could be vulnerable to, especially if Iran chooses to launch an entire swarm of drones. The only way America can combat Iran is by sending innocent young soldiers to do ground missions and die for a useless cause, which unfortunately is likely going to happen in light of America recently bombing Iran’s “Forbidden Island”, Kharg Island, in a bombing raid that was the heaviest in the region’s history.

Kharg Island itself is now considered a top candidate to be invaded by U.S ground troops for two reasons: because it’s away from mainland Iran, and because it has processed 90% of Iran’s total oil exports (over 950 million barrels of oil) since it was taken over by Iran during the 1979 revolution.

Trump’s been getting so desperate regarding the drone situation that even Ukraine, which is STILL at war with Russia, may get involved with Iran eventually. For context, last year, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sent America a proposal to stock the Gulf with super cheap interceptor drones from Ukraine, designed specifically as a defense against Iranian Shahed drones. Trump basically just laughed it off and called it a ridiculous plan. But now both America and the Gulf states in the Middle East are seeking Ukrainian assistance.

To Trump’s credit, there have been efforts to combat surging oil prices that have come from the International Energy Agency, which recently released 400 million oil barrels from its reserves.

Following the initial IEA announcement, U.S. crude oil prices briefly fell to lows of the day, but they quickly climbed higher, and once again had surpassed $90 a barrel by late Wednesday. Trump then stated that over 172 million oil barrels would be released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve starting next week, but considering a multi-country deal to release almost half a billion barrels did nothing to stop the high oil prices, it’s likely that once again, Trump will have done nothing to benefit the economy.

Ultimately, this entire ordeal, which could cause a global recession, could have been stopped if Trump had simply not had an immensely large ego or the most corrupt ally in the world. But a businessman friendly with elite pedophiles becoming president was never going to end well.
