Nick Fuentes’ story is perhaps the greatest tale of betrayal in American history, and by far the clearest sign to push for the punishment of the Republican Party before this decade ends.
Here’s why that needs to happen.
When Nick Fuentes first got into politics, he was nothing like the massive influencer he is now. He was a “libertarian with a small L, a Republican, and a constitutionalist” who believed in small government. He was a fan of Ron Paul, and he also leaned towards supporting Ted Cruz over other Republican candidates who had hopes of becoming Obama’s successor in 2015-16. At the time, when he thought of Donald Trump, he only thought of someone who was “not an ideal lock…” but an opportunist.
“He’s not a conservative, and it doesn’t matter what he is, because all he wants is power. It’s clear he’s not a conservative… if you look at any history [regarding him] on the issues, he’s pro-abortion, he’s been anti-property rights… his immigration policy resembles Patrick Starr’s.

As time progressed, he became a huge fan of Trump. Fuentes went all out in his support for him, especially as he graduated from high school and enrolled in Boston University. At the time, Nick stated during an interview with Trump supporters at BU that he “really loved Trump by July or June” of that year. He stated that he thought the Trump strategy was absolutely brilliant, and he described Trump’s victory as “just.. ecstasy.” He relished the fact that “people were in mourning. People were depressed.” And honestly? I can’t blame him. I think even Jimmy Carter in 2016 would have been a better president than Hillary Clinton.
Nick’s strong support for Trump (especially as he began his America First show) made him very unpopular at Boston University, which was mostly liberal and in one of the strongest Democratic states in America, Massachusetts. Ultimately, both his support for Trump and his peaceful participation in the 2017 “Unite the Right” protest in Charlottesville (which was a rally to protest the planned removal of Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s statue from Lee Park) earned him multiple death threats from students enrolled in Boston University. This is because the protests in Charlottesville caused immense hysteria amongst left-wing activists on the campus, leading to accusations of Nazism.
Although Nick had openly said he did not support said Nazism, he had no choice but to unenroll. At this time, his parents pressured him to return to college, but Fuentes was headstrong on making America First a full-time gig. He told them to let him explore his show for a year, and the rest is history.
Although Fuentes openly opposed Ben Shapiro and other pro-Daily Wire conservatives, he quickly became a very popular name amongst right-wing influencers. While he still occasionally questioned Trump’s motives, it was clear that he thought Trump was the best option. And in no other time was this more apparent than in 2020 and 2021.
Soon after Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 U.S presidential election (Biden ran against Donald Trump), Fuentes began actively participating in “Stop the Steal” rallies. Fuentes gave speeches in Atlanta at multiple rallies, vocally attacking the Republican establishment. He accused Republicans of lacking effort in “stopping the steal” amidst valid accusations that the Biden administration had rigged the election. Fuentes also rallied Trump voters in downtown Lansing, Michigan.
On December 12, 2020, Fuentes declared that “it is us and our ancestors that created everything good that you see in our country! All these people who have taken over our country? We don’t need them.. our Founding Fathers would take this country back by force if necessary.” He continued to be one of the main voices defending Trump, and during January 6th, Fuentes peacefully protested at the Capitol.
Fuentes ultimately was not arrested for his participation in January 6th, and despite many MAGA influencers claiming that this was a result of his being involved with federal agents, the reality is that they had no reason to arrest a man who did not enter the Capitol or tell other people to do so.
However, this didn’t stop the establishment from doing everything in its power to destroy him. Namely, having his bank accounts frozen and placing him on the infamous federal No Fly List, along with being issued a subpoena in January 2022. This concluded with Fuentes swearing under oath that he did not participate in any corrupt activities or associate with any federal agents ahead of the January 6th riot.
After all of this hell that Fuentes was put through, and the hell that many January 6th rioters were put through, you would think that Trump would remain loyal to the values he pledged himself to in 2016, right?
Wrong.
As January 6 became a distant memory, Trump began to become less and less like he was in 2016. He was constantly appealing to Jewish neocons. When Fuentes was part of rapper Kanye West’s team in his brief attempt to enter the White House in 2024, he had a dinner with Ye and Trump where he praised how Trump worked when he stuck to what he promised to his voters in 2016.
But post-YE24, it was obvious that Trump didn’t care about what his original supporters believed anymore, and Fuentes officially declared he was no longer a Trump supporter. This, however, does not mean he supported the Democrats.
“It’s [the 2024 election] a lose-lose. On a personal level, I’d like to see Trump get the last laugh and I would prefer to see him over Kamala every day for the next four years.
Nick Fuentes on November 4, 2024
Ultimately, Trump won the 2024 election, but Fuentes was not celebrating, even though he knew Trump was a far better candidate than Kamala. This is because, based on how Trump behaved, he had already figured out what Trump would accomplish during his second term in the White House, and he posted his six predictions in one simple tweet in October, a month before the election.
And he has been right on every single prediction.
First, Trump, similar to his first term, has done nothing but increase temporary worker visas, has failed to fully end chain programs, and has prioritized bringing in corrupt, wealthy legal immigrants (and drug-using bums like Nicki Minaj) with Gold Cards.
Second, Trump stated recently that he was completely fine with gender-affirming care for children, which destroys their lives and ruins their mental health forever, if parents are fine with it. He then deleted the post and tried lying that he wasn’t fine with it under any conditions.
Third, Trump has entered us into a new war with Iran, which he said he was going to keep participating in regardless of how it affected his popularity. At the beginning of the conflict with Iran, which started on February 28, he said he would remain in Iran for multiple weeks. NOW, not only has he said he can barely think of a timeframe except for potentially SEPTEMBER, but he has ALSO said he will not accept a peace deal, and demands TOTAL SURRENDER in Iran, all because Israel wants him to keep fighting in Iran.
Fourth, while Trump claims to be all about free speech protections, he has been HEAVILY against so-called “antisemitism”. On January 29, 2025, he signed Executive Order 14188, “Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism”, which itself reaffirmed an order of his from 2019, to direct federal agencies to use civil and criminal tools to “prosecute antisemitic harassment and violence.”
Fifth, Trump has maintained a pro-life stance but has completely refused to enact a federal abortion ban, leaving regulation up to the states. Even though many anti-abortion groups have pushed for strict enforcement, Trump has completely refused to pursue federal-level bans or overrides of existing state laws.
Finally, regarding tax cuts for corporations, this has been realized through the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which was signed July 4, 2025, making the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s corporate rate reduction from 35% to 21% permanent, and added several further cuts. Critics fairly argued that these changes did nothing but favor billion-dollar companies, and the Act itself has done nothing but add trillions to the deficit.
All in all, as everything has unfolded, Fuentes became sick of Trump’s massacring of everything he stood for in 2016. So the next move has now become to punish the RINOs who have destroyed right-wing beliefs.
Fuentes has completely moved on to encouraging his supporters to avoid voting in elections, and more recently, he has also encouraged voting for Democrats outright as a way to punish the Republican establishment and force it to prop up an “America First” candidate instead of pro-Israel, pro-Thiel candidates such as JD Vance or Marco Rubio.
And really, this should be the stance that every Republican takes. Any conservative who continues to vote for the candidates that are chosen by the establishment deserves to be punished, as they have been just in the past two years. Fuentes has been completely right about Trump. Why continue to trust the plan in 2026, or in 2028?
Be warned.
