A few weeks ago, I was sent a rather good set of questions for a magazine interview.
Answering them, as anyone who has ever been interviewed knows, means spending far too long wondering whether you sound too thoughtful, ridiculous, serious, or all three.
But the answers weren’t really published; they became intertwined with a larger story. So rather than leaving the answers languishing in the digital equivalent of a bottom drawer, I thought I would share them here: questions about ambition, legacy, motherhood, island life, work, and the curious business of growing into yourself.
And In honour of my mother’s love of books, I am going to ask David, my husband, also an insatiable reader, what he is reading from time to time.
Consider it the David Flint Wood Book Club. Membership is unnecessary, but opinions are welcome, preferably after reading the book…
