Tiny robots take on arteries…
Scientists from the University of Twente and Radboudumc have created tiny wireless robots that can swim through blood vessels, even against the flow!
These screw-shaped bots could help clear blood clots in places too tricky for regular tools. They’re powered by magnets, can be tracked by X-ray, and might even deliver medicine right where it’s needed. Imagine a mini surgeon, right inside your arteries!

Eye tests have come a long way—from simple tricks to high-tech scans! In the 1600s, Johannes Kepler discovered that your brain flips upside-down images from the retina—a realization that quite literally turned his mind upside down, especially since he used his own eyes for experiments. In the name of science as they say…
Fast forward, to the 1800s, Herman Snellen’s iconic eye chart appeared and with such a simple design became widespread in a short time!
Even now, with fancy tech like OCT and Optomap, we will still go through this test at each appointment, and we likely will for quite some time…

#startupcompetition - I have been invited to join the selection panel of TechTour AI for Health, where we will select 40 European companies leveraging AI to address some of the biggest pain points in today’s health systems.
