If you have tweens and teens, you know it’s really hard to shop for them. They are super particular about what they like and their shopping options are very limited. It seems many brands skip straight from children’s clothes to men’s and women’s, none of which are appealing to my 13yo. The brands that do make clothes specifically for the tween and teen set are often “one size fits all” when in reality, the shapes and sizes of my daughter’s friends could not be more different. This is why I think a lot of tweens and teens gravitate towards more oversized sweatpants and leisure clothes.

This September, Harlow will be starting high school(!!!) and is looking to up her style game, but it’s hard to find items in her size that are on trend and school appropriate while also allowing her to express her individuality. I mean, every one of her friends shops at the same three stores! I also know that Harlow is going to grow out of her clothes quickly and styles change overnight, so I don’t want to spend too much on a wardrobe she’s only going to wear for one season.

This is why both she and I were so excited when Kohl’s reached out to do a back-to-school partnership. Harlow immediately gravitated to SO by Kohl’s, which makes stylish clothes designed to appeal to tweens and teens with a broad range of sizing (from junior to plus size). They also come at a very reasonable price point.

I let Harlow do some online shopping and put a bunch of items in her cart. You can find all her selects in her Kohl’s storefront.

When everything arrived, we were so impressed with the quality, the price point and most importantly— the cuteness. Harlow immediately went to work putting together some back-to-school outfits and I think you can probably tell by the photos below—she felt so confident in everything and rocked the photo shoot.

Juniors' SO® Linen Apron Shell Camisole Tank Top

Juniors' SO® Mid Rise Tencel Pull-On Shorts

SO® Ellda Fisherman Women's Woven Platform Sandals

Juniors' SO® Core Zip-Up Hoodie

Juniors' SO® Shelf Bra Layering Cami

Girls 6-20 SO® Smocked Ruffle Skort

SO® Ellda Fisherman Women’s Woven Platform Sandals

LC Lauren Conrad Scallop Hem Sweater

Juniors' SO® Tiered Mini Dress

SO® Ellda Fisherman Women’s Woven Platform Sandals

Juniors’ SO® Core Zip-Up Hoodie

Juniors' SO® Lace Trim Henley Cami

Girls 7-16 SO® Fleece Shorts

If Harlow’s endorsement isn’t enough, I noticed when we dropped Harlow off at camp, Mazzy had stolen the blue striped SO® Lace Trim Henley Cami. It’s not often that Harlow discovers a brand before Mazzy and I’m so thrilled to add a few new brands exclusive to Kohl’s to our consideration set. I’ll definitely be shopping for both my kids at Kohl’s again!
