Director Applications Now Open for The India Way Conclave 2027

The India Way Conclave is a youth-driven event being planned for early 2027, a space for young people to interact with impactful leaders, move beyond textbooks, pose bold questions, and actively debate the future of India’s global story through the lens of foreign policy, business, and culture. We’re inspired by conferences like Harvard’s India Conference and HPAIR, the St. Gallen Symposium, and more.

What the role is: The Director co-creates the vision for the Conclave alongside the Chair, shaping the ideas, themes, and curation that define the final form of the event. This means leading the organising committee on scope and creative decisions as well as on-ground execution. Directors are expected to have innovative ideas and the ability to get things done, and to have experience in organising similar large-scale conferences from scratch. Most importantly, all potential Directors must share our ethos of promoting inclusive, critical discourse.

Perks: Like all positions at the Project, this is voluntary. Directors receive a certificate of core membership and a formal recommendation letter. More than that, it is a rare chance to build something new and impactful, and to do it with people who care about India’s place in the world as much as you do.

Time: The expected commitment varies across the term; lighter in the early months (5-6 hours) and significantly heavier in the lead-up to the event. Applicants should be prepared for this to become a major commitment by early 2027 (term starts on September 1, ends in May or whenever the conclave ends).
