Rejoice, Australia. The Productivity Commission has released its interim report into the 2018 GST carve-up, and it turns out the great unsolved riddle of Australian economic policy was never productivity at all. It was equity.

88 mentions of the word, in fact. Productivity manages 25, and 17 of them in the use of the (deceptively) named Produtivity Commission.
