Anthony Fremont’s Garden Solutions : Maelström EP

This a project by my drummer Marcus Drake, but really he is just a vessel for the dark powers of Anthony Fremont. I listened to this whole EP laying on my bed in the dark and it made me feel like breaking through the ceiling. I am really excited about this one!!! Freak shit!!!
Sen Morimoto : Time is on Your Side

Before I moved to Chicago I was a Sen Morimoto fan, and now (when the stars align) they sit in with us on HFTRR sets. I’m so grateful our musical paths crossed and we became family. Sen is one of the greats, and this upcoming album is a gift and their best work yet. I got an early listen (I know I am bragging at this point) and I can’t wait for you to hear it too.

I have been patiently waiting for this one, ever since touring with Ella in 2023 I have been a believer. She gives me hope in the present, which is a very tough job these days. Whenever I see Squirrel Flower live or dive into her musical realm I am reminded of what really matters to me, and feel less alone in my heartache and my dreaming.

Brennan Wedl writes timeless songs, this one being my favorite but I’m sure as I replay this record a thousand times I will have some more to add to that list. Consider me a fan, I hope we get to sing together someday.
