Dearest Reader,
This week I focused on playing around in my home studio and getting some more covers done for paying subscribers. I hopped in the chat and asked folks to send their requests, and got a long list of great ideas I’m saving for the future.
One stood out and inspired me : something by Daniel Johnston. I love how open this suggestion is. Johnston wrote so many simple yet profound, utterly haunting songs. Melodies and imagery that has stuck with me since I first heard him on a mixtape when I was a teenager. I started off working on a version of Devil Town, and was having enough fun I figured I might as well sing True Love Will Find You in the End for kicks. I hope you enjoy.
