A missed workout won’t derail your fitness, and even a few weeks away rarely erase the progress you’ve built. What often disappears much faster is momentum.
In this episode, I talk about my own recent issue, as well as a patient whose minor hamstring injury healed within weeks… but whose training routine didn’t recover nearly as easily.
We’ll discuss why interruptions can feel so much bigger than they actually are, why protecting your routine matters as much as building it, and how to start showing up again after injury, illness, work, family, or life gets in the way.
For those of us training in midlife, the goal isn’t a perfect streak. It’s developing a routine resilient enough to survive the inevitable interruptions—and learning how to pick it back up when they occur.
