Hope. What do feel when you read the word, “hope?”

What does the word conjure in your body? What shifts in your breath? Is there relief, or does doubt follow right behind?

Lately the word hope has been getting me a little emotional. Not only do I associate it with the first election I was legally allowed to vote in, and the dreams that came along with that political moment, but it’s also a word that I connect to a certain level of optimism that’s been challenging to access in the current reality we live in.

Jane Goodall described hope as courageous – not something that’s steeped in idealism or illusory thinking, but in fact something that’s required for the building of a better future. It’s muscular, meaning it can only be truly experienced in action, and to hope without a rooted foundation in anything real is actually just blind faith.

Some definitions of the word hope include the word trust, in which case Jane was not wrong (was she ever?). Trust can only be fortified with proof of action, and so if hope is to trust that a certain outcome will occur, hope can only exist with the support of former actions guiding the way.

In that sense, to hope is also to remember – what came before us illustrates what we can expect ahead of us. We can only hope the Sun will rise again tomorrow because of all the days in which it rose before. We can only hope to the extent that past actions have limited or expanded future choices – and yet we can also hope for something more because there has always been more.

To hope in a world that is constantly pushing us to concede, to stay small, to stay quiet, to obey is actually to rebel. If real hope can only be fruitful via demonstrations of positive action, then in a world that is rife with destruction and hate hope is quite radical.

Perhaps that’s why hope has been a sensitive reach for me. I want to have it so badly, but I’m so afraid that if I allow myself to hope – if I dare to look at all the good that has occurred, and if I let it guide what I trust is possible for my/our future, then I’m dismissing the more painful potential outcomes that could in fact be in store for us. And in that sense I’d be dismissing some very real dangers and harms.

Aries season asks us to hope – to trust via proof of action – that life will continue despite death. With the forceful appearance of stems and stalks and leaves of grass out of the cold, hardened earth, we’re reminded that even when it appears that all life has been silenced, there’s always something brewing under the surface ready to burst forth when the time is right.

What’s unique about this moment in nature is that it’s not subtle, nor is it calm. It’s aggressive and even violent when you look closely and examine the energy breaking through walls of seed casings and layers of tough soil and harden shells of bark. Rambling, luxurious, and rich expressions of nature’s sprawl will come later – for now every living thing has to steak it’s claim and shout it’s arrival.

If Pisces season is to have faith in a world we can’t quite see, Aries season is when we begin to see. There’s almost a brazenness to how nature returns unabashedly to claim it’s rightful growth after Winter. The expression of burgeoning greens and golds is ruthless against a backdrop that was once completely monochromatic and icy, and the color somehow strikes your psyche with a jolt of dopamine.

Aries season is defined by this brash mix of joy induced by the return of color with the forceful entry of nature coming back to life. It’s akin to the shock of a good joke – the strike of the surprise not only jars your body into a fit of vocal exclamations, but also delivers you a swell of good feeling that palpably shifts your energy. The joy is the pain, and the shock is the delight.

When I think of hope I inevitably end up thinking about the myth of Pandora’s box. After all the evils of the world were unleashed and set free, what remained at the bottom of her empty box was simply Hope. Which means that despite all the pain and suffering we’ll witness in our lifetimes we will always carry with us a tendency to trust in a potential positive outcome. Life will continue despite and perhaps even because of the pain.

Or perhaps we can’t separate the two at all. Perhaps in order to have life and to have joy and to have hope we have to have the contrast of death, pain, and doubt. Perhaps when we experience the glimpse of optimism that comes with the first bursts of green that arrive with the Spring Equinox we can only have that burst of happiness because of the harness of Winter that we’ve endured.

This Aries season it will become even more clear that pleasure and pain live along side one another. They are not enemies, and in fact they might even be close friends. It will not be a question of daring to hope amidst the pain. Instead it will be a question of how can we survive if we don’t have hope – muscular, proactive, productive hope – while we witness the unfolding evils around us.

If you’ve been like me, and you have been afraid to hope because doubt stalks close behind, this is your season to be courageous and claim hope as your act of rebellion. Not blindly and not through softly rooted optimism, but through brave action and contribution, so that trust in our future can land a little more easily for all of us.

  • 3.20-3.21 – Tone shift

As the Sun joins the Moon, Venus, Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and Mercury stations direct in Pisces, we get an immediate turning of the energy from reflection to action. Although we might not feel the momentum forward for several days, we’re getting a boost of energy that will have a us moving on topics, projects, and ideas that we’ve been going back and forth on for the last few weeks.

  • 3.22-3.28 – New stories are ripening

As the Sun conjoins Saturn and Neptune for the first time since they’ve moved into Aries, we start to consciously witness what story is unfolding in the part of our chart that Aries rules. Up until this moment we’ve been seeding new initiatives for most of 2026, and although we’ve been tending to these seeds, we might not be able to see that they’ve been rooting and growing. This is the moment where we’ll start to feel the momentum of progress forward. What we’ve been ideating, pondering, brainstorming and discussing is now showing signs of growth, and we’re ready to take action to support it.

  • 3.29-4.4 – Appreciate everything

As Venus enters Taurus to stay until April 23rd, and we come to the Full Moon in Libra, we get a boost of creativity, encouragement to unfurl and be leisurely, and a reminder to enjoy all the little things. We’re being shown how vibrant life can become when we stop and smell the flowers, literally or metaphorically, and when we deepen into appreciation, everything becomes more beautiful and vibrant. This is also the week we might see courageous acts of justice being demonstrated, and if you feel the call to join with your community in protest or activism, you won’t be disappointed.

  • 4.5-4.11 – Building heat

As we work our way to Mars sextiling Uranus, we feel a collective heat brewing in the atmosphere. There’s some kind of desire to protect, defend and fight for our vulnerability or our sensitivity – there’s something tender that needs to be boundaried. We might have to get extra creative with our resources to do this, but be sure to watch out for displaced aggression, anger, and heat in yourself and others. When Mercury leaves it’s post-retrograde shadow, we finally feel like we can change the subject, and we can let go of a variety of stories and subjects we’ve been circling around for weeks.

  • 4.12-4.19 – Direct your motivation wisely

With Mars inching closer to Saturn, and as we make our way to the Aries New Moon, friction and frustration is building along side our desire to connect and nourish. There’s a desire to take action on something we’re motivated to express, but something is standing in our way. At the same time, we’re being reminded that slowing down and softening into care is sometimes the best balm for inflammation and irritation. If you feel surges of energy that don’t have clear funnels to flow through this week, choose the practices that match the heat and follow up with something cooling and calming.

For more support with navigating this season for you personally, I have two invitations:

  1. Orienting to Spring Workshop – a 60 minute workshop where we’ll outline the quality of Spring via the Aries, Taurus and Gemini archetypes. We’ll define the areas of life that will be activated for you, and the themes that will be illuminated in the collective consciousness – so you can intentionally choose how you want to orchestrate your time, plans, creative projects, and desires to flow with the pulls of the season. Join for $33 through March 21st.

  2. Guided 1:1 consultations where we dissect the energy of the season and how it specifically applies to your chart. In every session I pin point the unique skills and talents you have available to you via your natal chart, and guide you to clarify how you can apply them to be able to work with (rather than against) what the current astrology is asking from you.

I invite you to read these horoscopes with curiosity and mental spaciousness - allowing the affirmation of the words to inspire possibility and creative movement. Take only what feels resonant, expansive, or healthily stretchy.

You might not need caffeine to get you going during this season, simply because the Sun and your feisty ruling planet, Mars, will be amping you up from the inside out. There’s a drive and clarity of direction you’ve been waiting for, and this season it feels like the gas finally kicks in. You’re crafting a new vision for your dream self, as well as how you most desire to use your time, and you’ve been unraveling old narratives and outdated stories you’ve inherited in order to make this vision even more crystal clear.

You might come across some limiting beliefs this season – the ones that say “I can’t," or “I’m not good enough,” or “I’m not safe enough to do that yet.” Listen to those constrictive narratives when they arrive, feel into the spaces of contraction with curiosity, but don’t let them cloud your whole vision. Remember that those doubts exist only for you to give yourself all the safety, grounding, and comfort you need to step into the most powerful version of yourself that you’re becoming.

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon both have something to teach you about how you show up in relationship. As you continue to envision this next era of you – the version of you that you know is coming but not quite here yet – who is this person in their closest 1:1 bonds? What does intimacy, vulnerability, and fairness look like in these relationship dynamics? What does the balance of having autonomy and taking up space – together – look and feel like?

Despite the eclipses and Mercury retrograde of Pisces season, there was something about this last month that brought you clarity of direction and purpose. With your ruling planet, Jupiter, having just stationed direct, there’s a boon and bountiful blessings arriving to you via your creativity, the children in your life, your pleasure and play, and/or entrepreneurial pursuits. And Aries season just keeps the good vibes flowing.

That’s not to say there won’t be hard moments – you’re learning quite a lot about how to be responsible about the windfalls that come your way, how to apply discipline around the big dreams that surround your resources and talents, and how to nourish pleasure even when it feels like the numbers and stats are begging for your attention. This season, you might find a handful of days when you have to let go of the fun stuff and tend to the hard facts and realities of living in a world where money and resources still rule. There might be some harsh words or thoughts exchanged around these issues, but ultimately it’s teaching you how to channel intensity and sensitivity around your talents and identity with more discernment.

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon both have you connecting to your sense of identity as it’s entangled in your finances and joint ventures with others. What does it mean to hold autonomy with your skills, talents, and resources, while also supporting others with their own? What does co-mingling energy and resources with another look like when in greatest harmony?

Cultivating a relationship with your inner power is not something that’s done over night. It takes time, it takes refinement, it takes making mistakes and having moments of great pride - you know this and you’re learning it on a new level. As you step more into your own power, you’re becoming less afraid to say “the thing,” but this season you might also find that saying “the thing” impulsively creates situations that are ripe for hard lessons. Your motivation behind speaking, expressing, and sharing is becoming a powerful ritual in itself this season, and as your words continue to find their way to you more readily, this is your opportunity to connect to the power they wield.

Similarly, you might find that you’re having some tough conversations or meeting frustrating obstacles in your local community or with siblings this season, and somehow it’s tied to your career or public roles/image. How you direct your intense emotions, anger, and irritation is key, and ultimately it’ll teach you more about who you are and the person you most want to be remembered as. If you find yourself overheated or with too much mental stimulation, those are the moments to slow down and reground in nature. Soften into the beauty that always exists in the natural world, and recalibrate as you reconnect yourself to the nature that you’re undeniably born from.

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon have you in deep contemplation and deep gratitude while in between spaces. When you’re traveling from school to work, or sitting in waiting rooms, or shampooing your hair in the shower, or journeying 30k feet up, you might find you’re having your greatest downloads, ideas, and insights around how you’re evolving and how harmonious your life has been and is still becoming. It’s in these liminal spaces where you can most honestly attune yourself to what you really want – so be sure to ask yourself what do you really want?

You’re being called home this season – whatever home means to you. You’ve felt a pull towards this area of life in general, but this season something is being activated here that you can’t deny. A new vision of what security, foundation, and/or family looks like for you (not necessarily what has been shown or given to you) is coming more and more into clarity, and you’re feeling strong pulls to begin to manifest that vision and bring it to life.

In the middle of April, some challenging conversations or confronting experiences might arise with regards to your literal or chosen family or home base. You might find yourself feeling particularly frustrated, or flat out angry, about a situation that you can’t avoid. Settle in to the heated emotion, and ask yourself what it wants to teach you – what are you being asked to defend or fight for in this experience? What is the sensitivity that is being asked to be protected?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon both have you focused on these same themes – considering where you’ve come from, your family, heritage, ancestry, and home – but also how these themes relate to your public roles, the relationships you hold in your career or public spaces, and how you most want to be remembered. What are you learning about the kind of leader you want to be when it comes to conflict, and conflict resolution? What does conflict teach you about how to deepen into relationship, and how are you demonstrating that wisdom?

You know you’ve been seeding things for the last 3 months, and you’ve been waiting patiently (or as patiently as possibly) for your sprouts to appear. This is the season when they start bursting out of the ground, and tickling you with delight along the way. You might find that you’re running a mile a minute trying to water your burgeoning buds, when you want to be slowing down and luxuriating in the newly warm air, but this isn’t the season to look a gift horse in the mouth. If you find you’re being overwhelmed with creative projects and opportunities for fun, this is the season to get discerning about what you say yes to – and let yourself say “no” with as much grace as possible.

Your enthusiasm for saying “yes” might come to a head in the middle of April, and you might find yourself in a moment where your schedule has been overloaded with too much to create and too much fun on your plate. If you’re reading this at the start of the season – plan accordingly. Try to agree to the commitments, plans, and play that feel the most enlivening – trust that you’ll have everything you need even if/when you turn some things down.

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon both activate your spaces of fun, good luck, good vibes, and great friendships. Which relationships are you most grateful to have in your life, and how can you spend some time this season letting those people know? Similarly, what does having too much of a good thing look and feel like to you? How do you know when you’ve overdone it, and what does pleasure-in-balance mean to you?

Your daily routines are being upended. Things are either changing at work, or in your health, and your call to being of-service is shifting dramatically. How do you stay connected to you when you’re also devoting yourself to the needs of others? What does it mean to imbue your authentic leadership and identity into the mundane tasks of every day? There are little details that are undeniably catching your attention this season, making you want to reconstruct your entire weekly schedule and how to you are (or aren’t) tending to your body.

This all might come to a head in the middle of April when a challenging experience with work or in your body builds to a level of frustration that has you expressing some sharp words – either at yourself or someone else. The responsibilities feel like they’re mounting, and although you want moments to luxuriate in the beauty and ease of the season, you feel the weight of responsibility forcing your hand. What does this frustration, irritation, or obstacle have to teach you about when to say “no” and when to listen to the needs of your body?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon are asking you to look at what pleasure and intimacy both mean in your relationships. Vulnerability is your greatest superpower, but you’re choosey about who you can be most raw and honest with. How can you deepen into your gratitude for those friends and partners who see you for you? How can you honor the spaces where you can completely unravel as antidotes for when you have to perform in public spaces?

The heat is ramping up in your 1:1 relationships. Whether that be with your romantic partner, your client work, or your closest friendships, there’s some spice undeniably coming into the mix. At the same time, the part of you that has stubbornly held on to the beliefs, traditions, and ways of operating that you’ve inherited is getting a little tension release, and you might be finding that you’re ready to let go of some old griefs and anxieties that have been plaguing you.

In the middle of April you might find yourself in a confronting situation with a partner that you’d rather avoid but can’t. You’re not one for enjoying confrontation, even if you know it’s ultimately necessary. During this time, you have to face the challenge head on, and with direct language, so how can you lean into your natural proclivity for emotional harmony to move through this difficult dynamic? How can you especially do this without forgetting your needs and desires along the way?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon are both lighting up your relationships and who you are within them. This is your season to bravely step out of some of your people-pleasing tendencies, and into more embodiment of your own needs and desires in relationship. You have the ability to claim what you need and want, so want do you want? The Libra Full Moon on April 1st is your opportunity to celebrate all of you, so maybe use this day to ask yourself this question, and let yourself be radically honest.

Mercury retrograde is over, and even though the tech hiccups and verbal mishaps are diminishing, the reviewal and the release still continues for you. This season you might find that your energetic entanglements with others is getting an uptick, and in the process you’re finding you have to let go of the specificity you normally bring to every interaction. The more you open yourself and share your energy and space with others, the less you have to give, so how are you making sure that you fill up your own cup this month?

In the middle of April, you might find a challenging conversation or experience arise with someone you’re entangled with – someone who’s signed a contract with you, or you with them, or someone very close to you who’s intimately entwined in your life and psyche. This confronting experience might have you second guessing your language or your innate instinct for healthy communication. What does anger, frustration, doubt and rage have to teach you about upholding boundaries and demonstrating leadership? Either when you experience these emotions, or when they’re directed at you?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon are highlighting your relationship to your resources, talents, and how you share those things with others. Can you take a moment this season to honor and find gratitude for these relationships – your relationship to money and how it supports you, your relationships to others who support and see you, and your relationship to your own talents and skills? What would it look like to create a harmonious and reciprocal relationship to these topics in your life and within you? Write down your answers to these questions this month.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re hopping on a plane or enrolling in a new program this season. Your dreams are big, and your drive is bigger, and you’re ready to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone. But what does it look like when your ambition gets the better of you and swings you out of balance and into burn out? What does maintaining a healthy relationship to all that you want to pursue look and feel like?

In the middle of April, you might find yourself in a heated situation that has you questioning your inner leader, inner faith, and/or your relationship to systems of justice and fairness. You’re learning a lot about what you’re capable of out in the world, and your horizons are broadening, but ultimately the wider your lens the more difficulty, challenge, and pain you’re going to have to witness in this world. As you find yourself being confronted with these experiences or situations, what are you learning about the kind of leadership you most want to embody, and the kind of leadership you might need to dismantle within yourself?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon are activating topics of communication, daily ritual, travel, and faith for you – and the relationships you have to those topics. When you deepen into your daily rituals, and cultivate a sense of harmony and balance on a regular basis, how does that allow you to stretch into a more expanded version of yourself and your leadership? How does communicating with grace and being intentional with how you share yourself in relationships show you more about where and how you can trust yourself?

You’ve recently gotten a boost of energy back, and this season the momentum feels like it’s fully kicking in. There’s a drive building from within you, and you might feel at times an organic embodiment of your life direction – from a place that feels naturally and uncontrollably expansive. You might find that the attention and focus is generally on you right now, and although you might not always love being in the spotlight, your experiences this month are teaching you how to navigate those moments when you’re required to.

There might be a few days in the middle of April where you feel this most pointedly. There could be a situation that unfolds in your public spaces, or in your profession, that challenges you to step into a level of leadership you didn’t want to take on. There could be harsh words thrown around out of frustration and irritation, so how can you use your natural proclivity for applying care and nourishment to cool down the heated temps?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon both have you considering your relationships in and/or to your public spaces and your home. To find balance out in the world, you require balance in your foundation, so what does harmony and ease look like on a foundational level? How does creating that harmony support your ability to show up as the leader you most want to embody in your public spaces? How do they go hand in hand?

This year something is being reconfigured in your friend groups, networks, and how you intermingle with others out in the world. There’s a dream that’s coming into clarity around how you want your groups and group engagements to look and feel, and you’re being called to own a level of responsibility in making those relationships dynamics real.

Now that your ruling planet, Mercury, has stationed direct, the confusing miscommunications and muddy feelings in your public spaces and profession are starting to clear up, but in the wake of that clarity there’s some confronting challenges arising in your friendships. In the middle of April, these obstacles will come to a head and you might find either yourself or a friend rife with irritation, frustration, or even anger. Something is getting in the way of you being able to both express yourself, and out of that, inflammation brews. When you feel flush with challenging emotions, how can you remember your natural proclivity towards curiosity to remind yourself of kind of leader you want to most embody, no matter the situation?

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon are activating your relationship to fun, pleasure, play, and social activity. This season, can you deepen into the joy that beauty, art, harmony and fairness offer – letting gratitude for these things overflow your cup? Sensitivities will inevitably arise in your friendships, but remembering all the goodness you have available to you can help you stay clear about what’s most important to uphold in these relationships.

This season there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that’s both ramping up your energy and motivation, and also forcing you to confront challenging anxieties that lay under the surface. But first - when Venus enters your first house at the end of March, you’ll find yourself being gifted with all the love and attention that makes you feel beautiful, appreciated and valued. During this time, soak up all the goodness – enough to overflow your cup. Remember and anchor into this love and support, and luxuriate in all the goodness as it arrives to you.

When we come to the middle of April, you might need that support to guide you and remind you of all the sweetness and beauty you naturally create in this world. You might be confronted with an experience that has you grappling with the limiting beliefs and narratives you long thought you’d eradicated (or perhaps have been ignoring), but are unfortunately rearing their cruel heads once more. You might find harsh words being directed at you either by yourself or by another person, and in the wake of that harshness you find yourself doubting your motivations and leadership. This season, don’t forget how much beauty nourishes you, and how by stepping into beauty on a routine basis you can rediscover harmony even in the harshest moments.

  • Contemplation: The Libra Full Moon and Aries New Moon have you deepening into the appreciation you have for relationships that feel most supportive in your daily life and behind the scenes. The people that see you - the you that’s not in the public eye - are the people that also know all of who you are on a daily basis. Those are the people to express love and appreciation towards this season. In an ideal reality, what would harmony, beauty, and gratitude for yourself in your spaces of service as well as in your spaces of retreat look and feel like?

I’d love to know how these horoscopes land for you - let me know in the comments!

Wishing you all an energizing and expansive Aries season <3
