More storage bins.
More stuff that would finally make my home feel put together.
I fell into the trap of the amazon deals. I would buy something, it would be delivered and it was something I had figure out. Where was I going to put this? I was just giving myself more to do.
I had too much to manage.
And the crazy thing is… I love a beautiful home. I love a well-organized drawer. I love finding products that make life easier.
But somewhere along the way, I realized a home doesn’t feel peaceful because everything has a container.
It feels peaceful when there is less to manage.
When there is room to breathe. Or, negative space, as I like to call it.
When cleaning up and taking care of home doesn’t feel like a never-ending job.
As a mom of three, who solo parents a lot due to my husbands job, there were times I felt like I was constantly behind. I could never catch up with the demands of the house, the kids, the family, the meals. The house was never fully clean, the laundry was never completely done, and my mental load felt heavier than it should.
I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and over it.
I kept thinking, I need to organize what I have.
