No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you (Joshua 1:5, NIV).

Just a reminder that even when He, our Lord, feels far away, He isn’t. Ever.

So, if I want that knowledge of Him close to me, it’s usually a matter of rephrasing my thoughts; of restructuring my attitude; of renewing my mind. The best way to do that is through Bible reading and prayer, of course, but it’s also as common as adding it to my morning routine.

Reminding myself that He is listening to me and watching me is a daily armor I add to my wardrobe. Every morning, I tell myself that He is with me in everything I do, see, and experience, and is a part of every circumstance.

If I believe in Him and His promises, then He is like a protecting shadow over me and the lens through which I look at all things. As C. S. Lewis once said, "We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God. The world is crowded with Him. He walks everywhere incognito." That is a remarkably accurate and comforting way to view His presence.

He is here and will never leave your side.

Finch Food for Thought: Just because we can’t physically see God, doesn’t mean He isn’t near us and working in all things. Seeing isn’t believing, but believing in Him is our true “seeing.” What are we missing if we’re not looking for Him in all things?
