You Know Better. So Why Do You Keep Repeating the Same Pattern?

Jill Hart | World Changer · The You World Order Showcase

People are told constantly that they can change their thoughts, raise their vibration, manifest what they want, and create a completely different life.

But what happens when you understand all of that intellectually and still find yourself reacting the same way?

The same argument happens.

The same relationship pattern returns.

The same trigger takes over.

The same fear shows up when the opportunity you said you wanted finally arrives.

That is the territory nervous system guide Tiffany O'Hearn explores in this conversation on the You World Order Showcase.

Her message is not that mindset is irrelevant.

It is that lasting transformation may ask us to go deeper.

When asked what individuals can do to have the greatest impact on the world, Tiffany’s answer was surprisingly simple:

Her perspective is that constant external noise can pull us further away from our own intuition, creativity, awareness, and ability to make conscious choices.

That matters for coaches and spiritual entrepreneurs in particular.

It is difficult to create an aligned business, hold space for clients, communicate clearly, or make grounded decisions when every outside event immediately pulls you into reaction.

The inner work becomes part of the business work.

Not because you need to become perfect before helping anyone.

Because greater self-awareness gives you more choice in how you show up.

One of Tiffany’s recurring ideas is that triggers can function like mirrors.

Someone says something.

A partner leaves a shoe on the floor.

A parent calls.

A stranger makes a comment.

Suddenly the story begins.

“They always do this.”

“They never listen.”

They’re doing this to me.”

The external event may be small, but the reaction is carrying much more history.

Tiffany invites people to become curious about that space.

Instead of immediately asking, “Why did they do this to me?” another question becomes available:

What is this showing me?

That does not require pretending difficult experiences are pleasant.

It means noticing what has been activated before deciding what the experience means.

Tiffany uses a powerful garden metaphor to explain the process.

Imagine wanting to plant a beautiful garden, only to discover the ground is covered in rocks.

You do not clear all of them at once.

Each time something activates you and you choose not to fall automatically into the old reaction, one rock comes out.

Then another.

Then another.

Eventually there is more space.

That is why transformation rarely looks like waking up one morning completely untouched by triggers.

It looks more like recognizing the trigger earlier.

Catching the story faster.

Pausing for a second.

Making a different choice.

Then practicing again.

The conversation also explores thought awareness.

Tiffany describes thoughts like clouds moving across a blue sky.

A thought can appear without becoming an identity, command, or truth.

You can notice it.

You can allow it to move through.

You do not necessarily have to build an entire internal conversation around it.

Jill describes doing something similar by catching an unproductive conversation happening in her own mind and consciously deciding that there is no value in continuing it.

That awareness matters.

Especially for entrepreneurs.

A passing thought like “Nobody is going to buy this” can become an entire business strategy if you attach to it quickly enough.

So can:

“I’m not ready.”

“People will judge me.”

“I need another certification first.”

“I need a bigger audience.”

Awareness creates the possibility of recognizing a thought before allowing it to make the decision for you.

One of the most provocative parts of the conversation comes when Tiffany talks about manifestation.

Someone may say they want a million dollars.

But what happens when receiving even a compliment creates discomfort?

What happens when visibility feels unsafe?

What happens when a bigger opportunity triggers fear, doubt, conflict, or the urge to disappear?

Tiffany’s question becomes:

Can you hold the experience you are asking for?

That is a useful question for conscious coaches and spiritual entrepreneurs.

Maybe you say you want more clients, but visibility feels threatening.

Maybe you want more income, but receiving money brings guilt.

Maybe you want to become a speaker, but you keep waiting for someone else to give you permission.

Tiffany experienced that last one herself.

She wanted to speak, then realized she was waiting for someone to invite her to become a speaker.

So she started speaking.

She began going live on Substack.

The shift was simple but significant:

If speaking matters, speak.

Tiffany has explored astrology, energy work, crystals, and other spiritual practices.

She still sees value in them.

But her current perspective is that those practices are information and support, not substitutes for being present in your own experience.

The crystal cannot make the choice for you.

The astrology chart cannot have the conversation for you.

The manifestation practice cannot replace awareness of the fear that appears when the opportunity arrives.

Tools can support transformation.

But you still have to live it.

Relationships become one of the clearest places to see these patterns.

A partner, child, parent, or stranger can activate old beliefs very quickly.

Tiffany shares that her own relationship improved significantly when she started noticing her reactions instead of assuming the other person had to change first.

That is a meaningful distinction.

Self-awareness does not guarantee another person will change.

It changes what you bring into the interaction.

And sometimes that changes the entire relationship dynamic.

This conversation does not present nervous system awareness as a finish line.

Tiffany is clear that she still gets activated.

The difference is what she does next.

That makes the work far more practical.

The goal is not to become someone who never feels anger, fear, frustration, grief, or discomfort.

The practice is creating enough awareness to notice what is happening before automatically giving the reaction control of the next decision.

For coaches, entrepreneurs, and people committed to transformational growth, that space can affect everything.

Relationships.

Visibility.

Leadership.

Money.

Client conversations.

Creative decisions.

And your ability to trust yourself.

Tiffany ends the conversation with an invitation she uses throughout her work:

Try it on.

You do not have to accept every idea immediately.

You do not need to turn it into another belief system.

Notice what resonates.

Experiment.

Pay attention to what happens inside you.

Then decide from your own experience.

Tiffany shares more of this work through her Substack publication, Trauma Brought Me Here where she also hosts live conversations. Her workshop, The Reset: From Reaction to Response, offers additional tools for exploring these ideas in practice.

And if you are a coach or spiritual entrepreneur working to turn your expertise into greater visibility, authority, aligned clients, and mission-based income, your next step can be equally practical.
