July is coming to an end and before you know it summer will be slipping into fall. As much as I crave that time of year, I am truly savoring summer. I like a windows down, long car ride, new Olivia Rodrigo album on - kind of afternoon. Trips to the beach, walking to get ice cream after dinner and boat days on the lake are all simple pleasures I take full advantage of during the dog days of summer. I am also trying to be so much better about reading in the evenings. Since it stays lighter much later I find this to be an ideal time to get some reading in. I would like to be one of those people that curls up with a great book on a winter night, but I find when it is pitch black outside I just fall asleep instantly. Anyway, I am not sure where I saw it mentioned (my guess is Instagram), but I recently purchased the book, Four Thousand Weeks. The title stems from the fact that if we live to about eighty years old our life only consists of four thousand weeks. There is something about that number that felt smaller than I assumed (which is the point) and the book touches on how we think about time and productivity. So far I am loving the writing and I am taking a lot of notes about striking a balancing between getting things done and slowing down enough to enjoy them.
Cannot get enough of a red accent right now! On heavy rotation, this little Dragon Diffusion bag and my Alex Mill tote. Both add an effortless cool to any outfit.
The Zara Home x Katherine Pole collection is so beautiful. I have a feeling these pillow covers will be back and stock so set your email reminder. I love how giant they are (about the size of a bed pillow) because they fill up the sofa so nicely. The pop of red adds such a fun layer to the living room! Can’t wait for these to really shine at Christmastime.
Westman Atelier makes some of my absolute favorite makeup. I have been using this lipstick (color Ballerine is my go to) and the bronzing drops daily. Both of the formulas are incredible! The lipstick is so hydrating and the perfect amount of buildable color.
Stunning shell dish making my coffee table feel more fun! This is also a great catchall for car keys by the door.
My little office is slowly coming together, but I had to share this lamp shade. If you are in the market for a pretty pleated style I couldn’t believe this was under $100! The off white color is perfect for warm light.
Brand I Am Loving: Autumn Sonata | Their collection of towels and table linens are so cool and add a ton of character to a simple space.
