[Workshops] November and December were BUSY! January is already shaping up to be a busy month with workshops (esp resin!) filling up weeks in advance. You continue to inspire me with your creativity across all of the workshops I teach. Resin has been especially fun for me to watch, as it’s a newer workshop and is so visual. I am looking forward to coming up with more creative workshops ideas this year!

This month, I’m hosting the annual vision board session on Wednesday Jan 14th at Zinqué. I am doing an evening session vs afternoon - think cozy drinks, snacks & setting the intention for 2026 surrounded by others in the community 🤍
I have a new hospitality partner I am very excited about - Planta Cocina in MDR - it’s a stunning space. We will be taking over their patio - think art with a view 🌊🛥️
[HMVB Art] So many of you got HMVB ceramics during holiday season and I could not be more grateful. This also means I will be getting busy on the wheel this month. I will be restocking the core pieces such as mugs & cups in the OG/Jade/Desert as well as some of the Ocean collection.
I’m also planning a few “free-throw” sessions on the wheel over the next couple of weeks — making some larger pieces, experimenting, and just letting myself play and see what comes through.
And… my 3D printer is finally out of the box. I’ve started experimenting with it and it’s already so fun — I can’t wait to see how it weaves into my current art mediums. Pottery? Maybe. Resin? Absolutely. I already have a few ideas brewing 💭

What started as a creative side project has quietly turned into something real — something I’m now building full-time after a long time of wondering if I’d go back to my corporate strategy life. It feels really special (and honestly a little surreal) to say that this is the path I’m on. As I look forward to the new year, I did a bit of a wrap-up for 2025 and I am so grateful to how far HMVB has gone.
I’m also no longer a one-person team. This year, Arya — a fellow USC Trojan — joined the HMVB, helping bring the events, socials, and behind-the-scenes magic to life.
HMVB has grown from only offering 🏺 pottery workshops to now hosting ✨ Kintsugi and my newest obsession, 🌸 resin — and I’m always thinking of new ways for us to make, play, and create together. I’m constantly inspired by your ideas, your feedback, and the things you’re excited to try.
One of the most fun parts of last year had been bringing HMVB into corporate spaces — not to talk strategy or optimize processes, but to create moments of creativity, connection, and play. We’ve hosted workshops and activations for teams at Google, SpaceX, Red Bull, Liquid IV, Riot Games, ZigZag, and more.
Here’s HMVB in numbers (give or take):

I feel so grateful for all the growth, creativity, and community that 2025 brought. Running a small business has been both wildly challenging and more rewarding than I ever imagined — and none of it would exist without you. Thank you for showing up, supporting, creating, and believing in this little Venice Beach dream.
If you’ve been following along with my journey, I hope you see that art doesn’t have to be intimidating. You don’t have to get it “right,” you don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing before you start. Try different mediums. Mix things that don’t seem to go together. Let yourself experiment, play, and make something just to see what happens. That’s often where the most interesting and beautiful things come from.
If you ever feel stuck or unsure, go wander through a modern art museum. Look at what’s being shown right now. It’s a reminder that in this moment in time, art isn’t about following rules or proving technical mastery — it’s about expression, curiosity, and perspective. You don’t need to apprentice for a decade or follow some rigid path to make something meaningful. You’re allowed to explore, to change your mind, and to create in your own way.
That spirit — of freedom, experimentation, and making without fear — is at the heart of everything we do at HMVB.
