Early-bird ends Aug. 15; and we're taking pitches for a vibe coding show and tell on Aug. 13.

Our AI x Visual Journalism program, plus pitch a vibe coding demo

AI x Visual Journalism Forum, LA, Aug. 25–26: Rebuilding scenes in 3D and debating where retouching becomes faking

One session has you rebuilding a scene in 3D from ordinary photos, then walking through it. Another is about captions and metadata, which AI is potentially extremely useful for to give photographers back time in the field. There's a workshop on proving an image is what it claims to be, and you'll leave with an app that signs your photos as you shoot, and also one on where retouching becomes lying.

Produced with Arizona State University's Narrative and Emerging Media program. CatchLight is also now on board as a presenting partner. Early-bird registration ends Aug. 15: $50, or $25 for students.

Vibe Coding Show and Tell, Aug. 13: Pitch your demo

It's summer and the vibe coding hasn't stopped. Demo what you're working on — whether it's useful, half-working, ridiculous, all fine. Pitch by Tuesday, Aug. 11 and we'll pick the demos beforehand. If you'd rather just watch, please join us!

AI x Investigative Journalism at The New York Times, Sept. 25

Filling up. A full day on document analysis, pattern detection and verification, plus sessions from The Times' AI team on what they're building. If your organization is interested in sponsoring, reply and we'll send details.
