How we added agent-friendly features to Hacks/Hackers, plus where AI chatbots get the news wrong, new reads, events and jobs
We made hackshackers.com readable for AI agents. Here’s how.
More and more, the first visitor to your site isn’t a person. It’s an agent fetching, summarizing and citing your work on someone’s behalf. That shifts the question from how your page looks to human eyes, to whether a machine can parse it. So we added a handful of features to make Hacks/Hackers easier for agents to use: “Ask AI” buttons on our posts, an MCP server that lets any AI assistant query our archive directly, and structural tweaks that help agents find and cite what we publish. None of it required a platform migration or a big budget, and we wrote up what we changed so you can do the same.
AI Papers Explained: AI chatbots get the news right, until you feed them a wrong detail
Ask a top AI assistant about same-day news and it answers accurately more than 95% of the time. But a new Stanford evaluation found that slipping a false premise into the question —like a wrong name or a date that never happened — sends accuracy into freefall. The models tend to accept the bad detail and build on it instead of correcting it. The study maps where that breakdown happens and why it matters as more readers make chatbots their first stop for the news.
