This is The Spicy Peruvian, a monthly-ish newsletter by Peruvian comic artist & writer Gustaffo Vargas. It will have updates, behind the scenes and comic projects I’m working on.

All comic projects start as a promise, --there are many reasons why projects don’t start, schedule issues, money issues, misscomunication, bad timing or simply just bad luck-- so, they never happen until they really happen. And once they start, and you’re working full steam on it, you can’t share anything, so even when it’s happening, it’s still a promise.

It only stops being a promise when it’s OUT, when it becomes real, and you die seven times and resucitate seven times when you finally hold it in your hands, and remember why you do this, because you love making comics. Period.

Here’s my Cover and process for Power Rangers GREEN issue #3. I had fun designing some new character designs on this one.

Power Rangers GREEN #1 will be out this Wednesday 5th of August…!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait, I simply can’t wait any longer!!! XD --Please pick it up, wether you’re a fan of Power Rangers or Not, I really think you’ll like this one!

I keep working on issue #2 of Arks Helices for Clicky Sprout Wife, the bio-punk scifi horror thriller set in Space. I’m having so much fun with this project! I should have more news soon. In the meantime you can sign in to be notified about the upcoming Kickstarter Campaign.

I had a lot of fun doing a Pin Up PRINT for this new project. It’s a 22 Page Comic Book - Detective Noir/Mystery/Thriller! Imagine a 50s Detective Noir movie..but its Vikings. --sounds fun, right?
