This week, Matt and I discuss the potential impact of AI on the Visual Editor for experimentation tools.
First of all, I think we both need to acknowledge that we are not active users of Visual Editors. Nor are we the target audience. We’ve raged about them a lot. Having said that, they are the entry point for many into the world of experimentation.
I just heard what that last sentence sounded like…No, I’m not changing it.
Here’s some takeaway points:
There’s the potential for AI to improve the quality of the code that Visual Editors produce.
The scope of what you can do in a visual editor might be greater.
The bar to entry to the “world of experimentation” might be lowered still.
In the end, we didn’t think the Visual Editor is going away.
