Here’s what I’ve been playing with lately that are genuinely good, genuinely pleasurable, and do not make wellness feel like another full-time job. Let’s get into it!

It might be 90 degrees in California, but I’m still an Upper West Side NY’er at heart and play by the imaginary seasons. So basically my son started school today, and Christmas is around the corner. Aria is off to Bennington in two weeks, so I’m declaring today THE START OF FALL.

Enter CO’CŌŌN, a blanket company I discovered on Instagram (good lawd, that thing knows me well) and immediately lost my frickin’ mind over. These are, without exaggeration, the dreamiest, coziest blankets I have ever touched. They’re incredibly soft, thick, stretchy, and satisfyingly heavy, with the kind of drape that makes you want to wrap yourself up and cancel the rest of the day. ( But I can’t because I am in pre-production on my comedy series that I will promoting non-stop, not-sorry!)

And the colorways are ccc-razy. They come in these gorgeous solids, washed colors, and stripes that look so beautiful thrown over a couch or bed. Here is it featured in Apartment Therapy. BTW, I am gun-shy about buying anything on IG because you never know…

One time I bought these pants that were, I mean, I can’t even tell you, the most ridiculous thing. They were literally nothing like the picture; the company was a fraud, and the website kept changing. Then another time, I wanted to buy these New Balance sneakers in all these cool colorways that, by the way, literally don’t exist. So I was definitely nervous. I did my research before I bought this blanket: Looked through the brand website, made sure it was legit and had chats with the most lovely founders! IT WAS ON!

I bought two for my house and ordered another for Aria’s new room at school because sending your daughter off to college apparently means spending a small fortune trying to make a dorm room feel like home. Oh! And I had it sent directly there - no problem!

I thought I was buying her a blanket but actually it’s a soft, enormous hug that I could mail to Vermont. Now I want one in every color, but I’ll need to move to a bigger house. I am totally using these at set design for my character - because, she’s also basically me. Stay tuned! (Literally, we are launching on IG in October!)

I’ve been using the body washes and oils from NEOM Wellbeing - gorgeous. The formulas are vegan, the packaging looks beautiful in the shower, and the fragrances come from essential-oil blends, so everything smells clean and expensive without making you feel as though you’ve wandered into the perfume section of Nordstroms.

The body washes have aloe vera and vitamin E, and they leave my skin soft instead of stripped and desperate for lotion. I love that you can choose according to your general emotional condition, of which I have many: Squeeze the Day has grapefruit, mandarin, and eucalyptus when you need help becoming a functioning person…hi; Feeling Grounded is for days when you are technically upright but spiritually scattered, also daily; and Real Luxury has lavender, jasmine, and sandalwood for winding down, which I am incapable of…so bring it on!

The body oils are equally lovely. I put one on after the shower while my skin is still a little damp, and for several minutes I become the sort of woman who moisturizes her entire body like it’s not a chore. NEOM makes an ordinary shower feel like a small, genuinely beautiful ritual, which is as close to a spa as I’m getting these days because I am deep in production show for my series, Emily Is A Magnet For Miracles.

Fiber has never been sexy. It generally comes in a giant beige container, tastes like drywall, and has the overall energy of something your grandfather stirred into orange juice while discussing his colon.

FiberBlisss is completely different. It’s a fruity powder you mix into water, and I have tried all the flavors: Berry Blisss, Orange Oasisss, and Strawberry Sasss. They are all delicious. There isn’t one sad flavor you tolerate because it happens to be the only box left in the pantry.

Each serving has six grams of fiber, and it also contains magnesium, ginger, quercetin, and vitamin B5. That is all very nice, but the reason I actually use it is because I like drinking it. It’s light and refreshing. It doesn’t turn your water into sludge. It doesn’t feel like you’re being punished for failing to eat enough lentils.

You’re basically drinking a delicious little fruit drink that happens to help you poop. If you’re new to fiber, start slowly and drink a lot of water. Your digestive system does not enjoy a surprise renovation.

I am very into the URO Vaginal Probiotic Gummies, and yes, they are so good, you might love them even if you don’t have a vagina.

They’re made to support vaginal pH, odor, and healthy bacteria. They taste like pink pineapple candy - dangerous because I would happily eat half the jar in one sitting.

Good news is everything feels balanced and normal, which is really all I’m looking for here. I don’t need my vagina to become the best version of herself. She has accomplished enough. I would simply like her to remain calm, pleasant, and largely out of the news.

Apparently menopause can also affect your eyes, because there was still one remaining part of the female body that had not been dragged into this.

Dry, gritty, irritated eyes can be connected to hormonal changes, and warm compresses are often recommended to help the oil glands around the eyelids work properly. I had no idea about any of this. I just knew my eyes were dry and exhausted, and then I found the BlinkJoy Rechargeable Heat Mask.

I’m obsessed with it.

It warms up for 20 minutes, has three heat settings, and lets you control the temperature for each eye separately, which seems wildly specific until one eye decides to have its own needs. It’s cushioned, so nothing presses directly onto your eyeballs, and it blocks out all the light.

The minute I put it on, I’m unavailable. I can’t look at Instagram. I can’t answer a text. I can’t check the terrifying little number on my email icon. I just lie there in total darkness like a wealthy Victorian woman being treated for nerves while my eyelid glands receive thermal support.

It feels incredible. It’s also rechargeable and portable, so you can take it on a plane and disappear from society while still technically sitting in row 24.

If menopause has decided your eyeballs should also be dehydrated, get this.

Everything from Tatcha is gorgeous. The packaging, the textures, the little gold spoons. It all makes me feel as though I have become a much more refined woman who has never eaten peanut butter over the sink.

I love The Rice Wash. It’s creamy and gentle, and your face feels clean afterward without feeling stripped or punished. This is important to me. I don’t want to emerge from washing my face feeling like I’ve been sandblasted.

The Dewy Skin Cream is rich, juicy, and excellent when your skin looks as though it has been absorbing the emotional climate of Los Angeles. It gives you that soft, plump, expensive-looking finish, even if the rest of your life is being held together with dry shampoo and unanswered emails.

And then there is The Kissu Jelly Lip Mask. It has the most beautiful jelly texture and makes your lips soft and glossy without feeling like you’ve coated them in glue. I keep it beside my bed and apply it with the seriousness of someone preserving a national treasure.

Tatcha is skincare that actually works and also makes your bathroom feel prettier. I’m shallow enough to appreciate both.

I already wrote about my relationship with the BON CHARGE Infrared Sauna Blanket, but I remain deeply involved.

My favorite evening ritual is putting it on the couch, turning on Severance, and lying there sweating like I’m undergoing an experimental corporate wellness procedure. By the end, I feel high as a kite, and I haven’t touched any weed or gummies.

BON CHARGE also makes red-light face masks, panels, and a full-body Red Light Therapy Blanket. The sauna blanket gets hot and makes you sweat. The red-light blanket gives you red and near-infrared light without cooking you like a human baked potato.

Both allow you to lie down while feeling extremely productive about your health, which is my favorite kind of wellness.

That is really the theme of everything I’m loving right now. It works, it feels good, and it doesn’t require me to become a different person. I’m already striving. I would now like to get into my heated blanket, put something warm over my eyes, and let the probiotics handle the rest.
