Hi hello!

I’m not sure where the time went. I didn’t intend to go so long between newsletters, but all of a sudden it’s April 21st, which means YES, CHEF hits shelves in exactly 3 months, and I am? Genuinely floored? For so long this book felt like it was coming out next decade instead of anytime soon, but now we’re nearly there! Physical galleys are in the world and they are gorgeous. Lots of you have been reading it early. I’ve seen sneak peeks at how Jack and Poppy’s story has been received, and I’m relieved it seems to be Michelin-star worthy. To everyone hyping up this book and encouraging others to add it to their TBRs—thank you!

Look at that gorgeous box of ARCs!

If you’ve been waiting to hear about ways to snag a signed copy, I’m excited to share that there are three preorder campaigns going for YES, CHEF!

If you’re UK based, preorder from Book Lovers Bookshop to receive the book with a signed bookplate and two gorgeous art prints. Obsessed with Jack’s tattoos in both!

Yes, Chef by Grace Reilly + Signed Book Plate & Art Prints!
Art by @lormaeart and @whoisflattery

Check it out <3

For my US friends/anyone wanting more shipping options, preorder from Scribbles Bookshop or The New Romantics for a hand-signed copy and equally stunning art prints!

The New Romantics

Check it out <3

The art print by Eva García shows off one of my favorite scenes in the whole book, and I absolutely will be getting it framed for my office.

Scribbles Bookshop

[PREORDER] Yes, Chef (Signed Book)
Art by @themoonbornillustrations and @summergrove

Check it out <3

I absolutely adore both of these art pieces!! They each show off an important moment in the book and the artists nailed them!

I know authors sound like broken records on this topic, but preorders really do help us so much! Publishers sit up and take note when they see healthy preorder numbers, and preorder campaigns like these help indie bookstores just as much as they do authors. If you’re interested and able, please consider supporting YES, CHEF with the preorder of your choice <3

And yes, we love ebook and audiobook preorders too, plus library requests!

I will have more news on US tour stops soon—eek!—but one event has been announced, and it’s a fabulous virtual one hosted by Book Lovers! Join me and my love Chelsea Curto as we chat all things YES, CHEF (and IN STORMY WEATHER, I’m sure) on July 27th:

Tickets here!!

There are two kinds of tickets, one that includes the book and one without, so if you just want to hang out with us on Zoom and/or aren’t in the UK, there are options! We hope to see you there!

I’ve been busy this year! In addition to spreading the news about YES, CHEF, I’ve been working on two (as of now unannounced) projects. I’m on deadline for them (line edits for one, developmental edits for the other) and I adore both so much. I can’t wait to talk more about them! (I’d promise it’ll be soon, but, you know, publishing.) They are new, fun challenges that have really helped me grow as an author.

I just got back from an awesome book event in Syracuse, NY hosted by Lit Actually and the Syracuse Mets! It was so much fun. I had a blast meeting readers, cheesing out with Rebecca Jenshack in person finally, and squeezing my love Stephanie Archer again! Authoring is a lonely game sometimes, so I always cherish being able to hang out with colleagues and readers! Thank you to everyone who came out xx

Like many others, the audiobook of Project Hail Mary absolutely destroyed me. I can’t wait to see the movie! I need to find a time to see it in theaters. I’m enjoying season two of Your Friends & Neighbors, the fact baseball is back in my life, and of course the beginning of the NHL playoffs (even though my team isn’t in it). And I’ve been spending lots of time with Hazel, my tiny ween! She’s nearly four months now and an absolute terror. I love her and her hairy little Grinch feet.

If you want more updates on her (and book stuff too), I’m most active on Instagram right now. Come say hi!

Thank you again for all the love and excitement for YES, CHEF. It’s an absolute book of my heart and I hope it hits for you the way it did for me. We are getting so close, y’all!!!
