Picking out new notebooks and pens, finding the lunchbox that fit my style for the year (which carefully held my PB&J), and checking off all of my lists to make sure I was prepared — I found so much delight in back-to-school shopping as a kid.

While I’m no longer in this season of life, I think I’ll always associate the month of August as a time of rhythm, routine, and organization. Hence why this week, I spent time resetting my pantry and fridge, deep cleaning the house, organizing my plans for Fall recipes, and clearing the paper clutter that inevitably piles up on my desk. It truly felt like a breath of fresh air!

This week’s meal plan is designed to make it easier for you to jump back into routine when it comes to nourishment.

Each recipe is the perfect blend of simple, nourishing, and delicious because I fully believe healthy meals are the fuel that helps you live an abundant life.

This is the system I follow to help my husband and me stay consistent with eating well:

  • Deciding on a plan for breakfast & dinners at the beginning of the week

  • Shopping my fridge & pantry before grocery shopping

  • Prepping a few ingredients ahead of time to make busy weeknights easier

  • Cooking enough food at each meal to enjoy it for lunch leftovers the next day

  • Stocking the pantry with a few high-protein, minimal ingredient snack options to keep us feeling good and energized

To simplify things for you, this meal plan includes breakfast and dinner recipes with prep tips, and a grocery list so all you have to do is cook!

Raleigh friends: If you don’t even want to do the cooking — I just opened up a limited number of spots for private-chef clients (inquire here).

What I’m reading: I just read The Paris Model, a book I started during our trip to Paris earlier this year but never finished. It was an interesting blend of history, fashion, and motherhood.

What I’m drinking: I can’t stop drinking this authentic Japanese matcha with vanilla almond MALK, in these jars with a glass straw, of course! It’s light, refreshing, and I love to sweeten it with just a little raw honey for an extra boost of antioxidants.

What I’m wearing: Once I learned that keeping your feet covered is great for regulating your hormones, I wear these comfortable slippers or these cloudlift socks around the house all the time. Also, I wore this dress to a girls’ dinner, and I loved how light and flowy it was.

What I’m trying: Making my own bone broth to support a healthy gut microbiome! While I traditionally buy this one, making your own is surprisingly easy. I used this recipe from Real Food for Fertility. I’ve also been taking these prenatal supplements (1, 2, 3) and started my husband on these as well for our TTC journey :)

What I’m learning: Building muscle is one of the best things you can do to support your body and overall health. While there’s nothing wrong with cardio, moving your body is about so much more than the amount of calories you burn. I’ve been loving the strength workouts from MadFit on YouTube and enjoyed listening to The Truth About Women & Muscle ft. Dr. Shannon, DPT this week.

What’s something that you’ve been loving or learning this week?

Each of these meals is built with three priorities: simple, balanced with protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and so delicious you’ll want to make them again & again. Enjoy!
