Not long after she passed in Oct. 1998, a butterfly made a cocoon right outside my front door, the only time I've ever seen one there.
I also had a small butterfly cross-stitch piece that she had made sitting on top of the light switch right inside the door.
One day it seemingly randomly fell off the switch, which made me remember the cocoon outside.
When I looked, the butterfly was just in the process of emerging. I might have missed it otherwise!
Thanks Mom!
