You can really tell some users just read what others are saying on here and use that to assess their predictions bc the Taylor general field win phantasm started plauging the forum out of nowhere

Taylor won’t win anything except for visual media not because her numbers are “fraudulent”. People want them to be, but they aren’t. They are real, if they weren’t, “The Fate of Ophelia” wouldn’t hold the title of most streamed song in a single day ever on Spotify. Her albums sell really well because her fanbase buy them. And her fanbase is huge… Read more
pop categories, should a “newcomer” be nom’d in any one, will go to the newcomer. which is why I’m afraid For Good wouldn’t snag a win if it was nominated. I think one thing that also hurt APT., besides Golden, was Bruno’s previous win with DWAS in pop group duo. we’ve seen pop solo and PVA comfortably go to the same newcomer, which is an Olivia… Read more
i’m afraid rodrigo stans that post like a PR team are going to need to find a better word than “delusional” for other, actual users on this forum that are here to actually predict, not hopedict. i don’t want to see rodrigo go empty handed a second year in a row, she’s already served time getting shut out, but she’s not competitive in any… Read more
“Bossa Nova” is not a requirement for the new category, though. I also think it would be worth someone making a comment that Curtis’ sentence being unfair is not surprising because he’s black. They wouldn’t have to make it a story or anything, but with such a long history of unfair sentencing over favoring black men in America it was at least worth a throwaway line. I felt a similar missed opportunity when… Read more
My current takes on winners: Album of the Year: The Art of Loving , Olivia Dean Record of the Year: “Man I Need,” Olivia Dean Song of the Year: “I Knew It, I Knew You,” Taylor Swift Best New Artist: Ella Langley
I don’t think all three (Adéla, Audrey Hobert, and Slayyyter) are getting in Best New Artist. They’re too similar. I think Slayyyter is for sure getting in.
Someone here suggested “My Old Ways” for Alternative Performance (sending Loser to Rock Performance.) I’ve personally been wondering if Tame sends “Afterthought” to Dance Pop

Taking country support for TFOO (which isn’t country) in GF for granted just because Taylor released IKIIKY is ridiculous especially in a year when country voters might get “their” song that is literally smashing it on the charts. Weren’t the jazz voters gonna make Mayhem & Abracadabra the winner in GF last year?
Choosin Texas is going to miss ROTY by 50/50. Flowers was able to win ROTY two years ago with Miley getting the pop and country votes. It could happen again to TFOO especially Taylor has got the country support back due to her releasing Toy Story 5 song this year. I know the country voters will not go to Olivia Dean, RAYE and Bruno Mars.
I’ve been tapped in for all of Weezer’s singles for their album rollout and love we might as well be strangers! Haven’t gotten the chance to listen to the album yet but the singles have me hyped
Weezer’s “We Might As Well Be Strangers” is the most adorable song of the year btw. I’ve been humming that chorus nonstop all day. Just throwing that out there for anyone looking for a fun little tune
He could pull an About Damn Time and get a surprise ROTY win. I really don’t want it to happen though because that songs is genuinely so annoying and grading to listen to IMO.
Let’s stop acting as if Taylor was a pop powerhouse in all GF categories because she’s not. And funnily enough – pop voters are also likely to support Bruno, Raye, Olivia Dean.
I suspect the songwriting branch might embrace Choosin’ Texas. It’s simplistic, has pop crossover appeal, it would award a veteran act like Miranda Lambert, it’s on a history setting chart run… But I think the key factor is it doesn’t have that ick factor ( yet ) that makes country feel too conservative for the voting branch. Unless Ella goes on s… Read more
Gonna need to see Langley’s nom haul before entertaining ROTY/SOTY winning conversations with her. Her success on billboard is astronomical especially since its not just radio driven but still doing well on streaming all these months later. But I’m not sold that voters will respond to her to the extent that some ppl think that they will.
Alsooo idk.. this just feels like the year CB is shut out entirely. Maybe wishful thinking, but I can see it. Also, the new Lucky Daye & Leon Thomas collab is actually quite good. I wonder if Lucky will be submitting Nowhere Fast to r&b song/perf & the collab to r&b collab/duo this cycle or if he will wait. If the former, I’d love to see both… Read more
Miley Cyrus is the most likely. New label, new album, Hannah Montana 20 Anniversary + MTV darling. She’s also rumored to headline Coachella so looks like she wants to comeback to performing
“you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” has returned to the top spot of the spotify weekly global album charts for an 8th week. it now ranks inside the top 10 albums with most weeks at #1 on spotify history. olivia is now the only female artist to have 2 albums to rank inside the top 10 and just the 2nd artist overall behind only bad bun… Read more
So who are we predicting to get the Vanguard? Miley? Aguilera? Or is it gonna be someone else? Not seen people think Taylor is possible while the timing is kinda good – her 20th anniversary & she’s yet to perform stuff from TFOO and she could perform her most famous songs. Any ideas who might it be?
Sorry friend, if you aren’t Black, I just don’t think you have a say in how black people interpret what she is saying. It’s such a nuanced conversation between how the industry treats r&b as a genre they created to limit black artists/reduce budgets & the actual importance/impact of the genre that black people took & made it to be as impactful… Read more
I’m glad they are back to Peacock. Good VMAs shows happened there. And it’s also a more prestigious place than UBS Arena. I think we can expect more famous attendees due to the venue being in Los Angeles

No, I think this press run about the “R&B box” isn’t a good look imo. Idk who thought that was a good idea. You don’t see Steve Lacy saying all that. And he has munltiple R&B Grammy nods and a win. He said in an interview recently that he’s plays around with genre but there’s always R&B at the center. Cuz he isn’t dumb lol.
