It reunites me with two great collaborators, editor Heather Antos from my Deadpool and Star Wars days at Marvel, and Scott Buoncristiano of THE DARK ROOM fame. A second volume of has been lettered and is being rescheduled. My fault!
I inherited such a rich premise: Ensign Miller is secretly a Romulan spy inside of Star Fleet. I took a page from Aldrich Ames’ book, and a time jump, and now Captain Miller is the head of a Starfleet Security directive called Section Null, and he’s there to collect intelligence and test allegiances. To line pockets. To be a capitalist. The Romulans are smart cookies, they’d love to reintroduce a malignant capitalism and cronyism to humanity. Chris and his collaborators broke your heart with every Red Shirt death, and hopefully we’ll put you in the unusual position of cheering on Red Shirts that Miller recruited from bars, jails and other dens of inequity.
The advance reviews have been stellar, as I knew they would be when you’re surrounded by as much talent as I am. Adventures In Poor Taste and Comicsbeat both loved it. I had the pleasure of talking Trek and IDW’s great line of books at IGN Live. I hate listening to myself, but I appreciate that you don’t.
