Hey Shero Squad, ✨
This week’s roundup is STACKED — especially if you’re trying to get your foot in the door, fund your next big idea, or make your next career move.
Here’s what we’ve got this week:
💰 14 Grants
💼 30 Gigs
🚀 17 Opportunities
🎓 8 Internships
And there are some gems hiding in these lists.
For my aspiring entertainment folks, we have an A-list actor’s production company looking for interns — and it’s REMOTE, so you don’t even have to live in Los Angeles to throw your hat in the ring. We’ve also got a paid Scripted TV internship with Korean entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM and an opportunity to spend your fall immersed in celebrity and entertainment news with Page Six.
Looking for a gig instead? 👀 We’ve got openings with SEGA, plus a gig working as the assistant to a hip-hop celebrity. So yes, somebody reading this newsletter could literally go from scrolling Geeky Grants tonight to working inside the entertainment industry.
And of course, SHOW ME THE MONEY! 💸 This week’s 14 grants include funding for filmmakers, artists, indie authors, women entrepreneurs, small businesses, tech nonprofits, and creators around the world. There’s a $30,000 fellowship for artists, a $25,000 accelerator grant, a TikTok opportunity for short-form storytellers, funding to turn an indie book into an audiobook, and even a competition offering awards of up to $50 MILLION for big ideas that could transform San Francisco.
As always, I’m digging through the internet so you don’t have to. Some of these opportunities have deadlines coming up before the end of August, so don’t bookmark this issue and forget about it. If something has your name written all over it, APPLY.
Let’s get somebody funded, hired, discovered, or in the room this week. 💰🎬🚀
xoxo,
~Shequeta
