In case you’re finding us for the first time, We, the Geeks, are a grassroots movement of scientists, engineers, technologists, fans, and citizens. We’re a diverse coalition of concerned Americans who came together because we believe that science, technology, and evidence are not partisan - they are patriotic.
We, the Geeks, believe that:
Facts should inform opinions, not the other way around.
Science and technology move America forward. Rejecting them takes us back.

Science under siege - and how to save it
The second Trump presidency has been the most anti-science administration in modern American history. From firing thousands of government scientists and scientific advisors, to weakening environmental and health regulations, to gutting public funding for scientific research and injecting partisan bias into the federal grant review process, the administration has worked to undermine expertise and erode scientific progress.
We, the Geeks, know that America can do better. We’re working to elect leaders who understand science, who will defend public institutions, and who recognize that solving America’s biggest challenges requires evidence-based solutions. We’re supporting candidates like:
Rep. Emilia Sykes (OH-13), who draws on her background in public health to champion biomedical research, maternal health issues, and healthcare affordability.
James Talarico (TX), a former middle school teacher now running for U.S. Senate who spent his time in the Texas House fighting for public education, evidence-based policymaking, and an end to corruption.
Christina Bohannan (IA-01), a former environmental engineer and law professor using her technical training and public service experience to advance clean energy, clean water, and climate resilience.

This year, we’re partnering with Swing Left to flip the House in favor of pro-science candidates who will use Congress’s power of the purse to restore our public research institutions and invest in America’s future.
