7th Excerpt from Sci-Fi Saga

Day 100

Thus far I have settled into a routine of successfully avoiding most of the crew- aside from Blu, Simon, and Master Dakh. The rest of the crew is uneasy around me- if my EQ facial recognition is reading them properly. It seems that their voyage has been a lengthy one, visiting posts for over 300 sols now, and there had not been a need for a Meta expressed, but the clan had still sent one. Allegedly, I have been sent for protection, but in reality- I will be replacing many of their positions. Master does not seem to mind, as there have been many injuries and losses of life over the course of their voyage.

The crew’s mission in visiting each post has not been directly stated to my face, but it does not seem to quite accord with what my information packet had conveyed, from what I have gathered in passing. I have not investigated, as of yet. My review of the ship systems has become necessarily extensive- to be fair.

Many parts of different systems are missing, and the date of their removals cannot be traced. Some of them were removed cleanly- some seemingly yanked from their places in a hurry. There’s malware and traceware evident in the system, and the helm has been messed with. The system was given the name Helma- and it has many gaps in its memory bank. It has been difficult to interface with it- or Her- as Bluqyris…Blu calls the ship.
