It’s been another glorious week, made all the more special by the eclipse and the fact that I’ve finally started a book club with some lovely friends (see below for our first read). To be fair, I did have to read a synopsis of it before I went, as I read it a while ago and couldn’t really remember everything that had happened!

Our first Book Club book was Elizabeth Strout’s ‘The Things We Never Say’ and it is a beautiful thing. So sensitively written, and the character of Artie is a lesson in what it is to be a human being with all of its complexities and contradictions. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read.
If you loved Schitt’s Creek, you’ll love this show. Written by Dan Levy, Big Mistakes is another spiky comedy with a brilliant brother/sister dynamic and an equally demanding mother. Fingers crossed there will be a season two.
On our recent trip to Margate, I discovered this brand in the brilliant Margaux store. Sisters Department are a Portuguese brand (their flagship shop is in Porto) founded by three friends and selling clothes designed to celebrate female friendship. I love their bold slogans and use of colour.
I got this Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand free with a magazine recently and really love it. It goes on easily with your fingers and gives just the right amount of coverage.
It might just change your life! This cherry pitter (it also does olives) is my new favourite thing.
My favourite track on Tricky’s new album, Different When It’s Silent. It’s got right under my skin for some reason.
