Dustee Day! READ Dog Kick-off Celebration, all day, Youth Area, Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave. Dustee Day honors Dustee the whippet, a beloved Reading Education Assistance Dog who listened to thousands of children read between 2005 and 2018. AUG. 21 — Public Hearing for Samaritan & MultiCare Health System Proposed Affiliation, 9 a.m., online. MultiCare Health System, a Washington-domiciled nonprofit corporation based in Tacoma, Washington, intends to acquire indirect control of Samaritan by becoming its sole corporate member. Prior to deciding whether the transaction should be approved, the Department of Consumer and Business Services is conducting a virtual hearing to allow the public to learn more about the transaction and provide comment on the proposed transaction.
