League of Women Voters’ Tap Talk - “Tips and Tricks for Preserving Your Garden’s Bounty,” 5:30 – 7 p.m., Common Fields, 545 SW 3rd St. Nellie Oehler, will share basic information about home food preservation. Oehler worked for OSU Extension for 50 years, developed the state Master Food Preserver program in 1980, and has written many publications relating to food safety. Her presentation will cover a wide range of topics, from safety tips for food preservation to how to become a Master Food Preserver. A trivia game and prize drawing will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 6 p.m. See here.
