If you’ve been thinking about joining this year, now’s the time for action! Spots are still open, and we’d love to have you. Amateurs and professionals are equally welcome to participate.
The sign-up window will close TONIGHT, July 20th, at 11:59PM CDT (UTC-5).
The Artistree Project is an art collaboration for Fieldmoot. This has been a special experience for us each year, featuring creatives with skills ranging from linocut block printing to painting, from poetry to multimedia art. Each artist begins a piece and leaves it open in some way for another artist to complete. Our hope for this collaboration is to foster community, growth, and organic relationship through the co-creation of art. The Artistree Project name was born out of the idea of a tree as a sheltering place that offers hospitality to a variety of creatures, where the work of one creates a hospitable space for the creative flourishing of another.
You! :) Amateurs and professionals are equally welcome! If you follow Christ, enjoy having creative ideas and bringing them to fruition, are excited to collaborate with other like-minded field mice to create pieces that are greater than the sum of their parts, and are willing to commit to honoring the project guidelines and deadlines, then we’d love to have you!
Yes. Please just enter your best guess for now, then let us know if something changes.
Details and deadlines are all listed in the sign-up form as well as in this earlier Substack post.
Yes, you can! We already have multiple individuals from outside the US who have signed up this year, and we welcome everyone who’s interested in participating. We aim to pair participants who work exclusively in physical media with other participants located in the same country or region to help minimize shipping costs, but please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be enough participants from any given country or region to avoid the possibility of international shipping costs altogether.
