One thing I love about book nerds is we never seem to lose our nostalgia for back-to-school season. No matter what stage of life we are in, we just can’t help but feel the glow of academic energy as fall approaches. We love learning, school supplies, and the chance for a clean slate, and we will let ourselves enjoy those things even if we’re long out of the classroom. For me, fall feels like another chance to reset—another starting over. Summer, and summer reading, can feel busy and crowded, and I like to reconsider my intentions and plans for my reading as I head into fall.
Now that we’re in the middle of August—that awkward time when back-to-school is in full swing in some while the rest of us wade through the dog days of summer—I want to hear about both your summer reading and your fall plans. I’m asking you to share your favorite summer read as well as any fall reading goals or intentions your setting.
