All my frameworks are based on certain foundational understandings and interpretations of emotions and their influence. I call them Operating Philosophies. They also provide context for where and why Emotional Methods become relevant.

Whatever form an identity may take (whether an individual, idea, a concept, product, service, culture or brand), it’s goal is to connect with people. When a connection is made, it happens with an emotional context as well.

An identity is interacted with and then connected by an individual to due to its emotional values. This can happen either consciously or subconsciously by the individual. Certain emotional values carried by the identity that the individual can relate to, because they themselves hold those emotional values in their emotional space, become the basis of connection.

When we look at emotions as being capable of having different degrees of intensity, this connection becomes a convergence to the extent of identical degrees of intensity. Just like matching a radio frequency to tune into a radio station.

As a result a connection with an identity is simply a reflection of certain emotional values an individual carries that are identical to the emotional values held by the associated identity’s emotional space.
