I am honored beyond words (and we know how rare that is!) to be receiving an award for HIV storytelling for social change. This one is shared so many ways: with Physicians for Human Rights, my collaborators on oral history collection from people impacted by the foreign aid transition in South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda; the eighty people who shared their oral histories with me; the people who keep helping me understand what is happening, and keep trying to change the outcome of the story. You know who you are. We’re all getting this together - so come on over and share the joy.
