Sherry and I both attended Lee University. Actually, that’s where we met, fell in love, and got engaged. We got married at the end of Sherry’s junior year. Couldn’t wait to start building our life together. Anyway, Lee has always been a very special place to us. All of our kids went there for some part of their education, and five of them completed their degree from Lee. We’re very grateful for the scholarship that Lee provided to our kids that made private education more of a possibility for them.
Anyway, we love working with college kids and young adults. That’s what we’ve done our whole life, and after 20 years of trying to position ourselves to receive Lee students for their global perspectives trip, we finally had success this year. As I write these words, we are hosting 20 people from Lee: two professors, 14 students, and four adults from Reign Water International. Want to say thanks to Drs. Moe and Williams (Communications and Engineering) and to Robert McMath, founder of Reign Water. He was actually the impetus behind this trip getting scheduled, so, special thanks to Robert we’re hopefully starting what will become an annual event.
We are pouring into Hill Tribe communities, local universities, and international students every week. It’s great to also be able to disciple and nurture students from the USA.
We organize two Summer Missions experiences every year in July. If you or your church or your family would like to join next year’s Missions experience, just respond to this email and let me know, and we’ll get you signed up.
Please remember our 45-day sprint to raise $45,000 for a year of outreach in the lives of children and young people. This fund is the lifeblood of our ministry in Asia. It is low, and we have to do fundraising to be able to continue doing outreach at this level. Please give.
To donate to the Summer Freedom Fund, just click the donate button or scan the QR code below.
When you click the page, you’ll see the thermometer is at zero right now. Please help us get off of the zero mark and moving toward our 45,000 at the end of this sprint. Thanks so much!
Every blessing!
Chuck and Sherry
