Highlights this week:

  • Mercury conjunct Sun on Thursday

  • Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon in Pisces on Friday

  • Mercury squares Uranus on Friday

  • Sun square Uranus on Friday

Beth Owl’s Daughter’s always-in-sync Tarot Card of the Week offers wise coping strategies for what I expect will ultimately turn out to be an electric week. Check out Beth’s take on the Four of Swords.

It goes like this:

Capricorn Moon eontinues with its need to Make Things Happen. It squares Venus at 2:30 AM ET and however it that landed, my advice is not to force the issue, given that Capricorn Moon then goes VOID for 26½-hours. Calling customer service to inquire about a mysterious check that was mailed to your mother? That’ll be a 2-hour wait, thank you. Just cash the check already, especially since the phone connection is so filled with static that you can’t hear them clearly. That’s been my day so far. You?

If you can’t take the day off during an all-day Moon void, stick to routine, take care of business already in motion, and avoid launching anything you expect to develop according to plan. CHILL.

Meanwhile, all of the people with planets at 29° Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio and Taurus will no doubt have something to say -- Moon void be damned -- as Mercury (how we need to think and communicate) reaches the very end of Leo. Famous last words, dramatic pronouncements, grand declarations and decisions from on high may demand attention. With Mercury at the end of the sign, there may also be a sense that a particular line of thinking—or narrative—has gone as far as it can go. And yes, this applies to the horoscope of You Know Who.

Ask a Burning Question

Moon enters Aquarius at 5:01 AM ET, shifting the focus from Capricorn’s earthy ambition to Aquarius’s need for innovation, independence and the Big Picture. Emotions are intensified this morning, thanks to Moon’s meet-up with Pluto at 12:10 PM ET, followed by a sextile with Neptune at 12:32 PM ET. Working with friends and networks of like-minded souls is favored in the afternoon, as Moon trines Uranus at 4:01 PM ET.

Meanwhile, at 7:04 AM ET, Mercury (how we need to think and communicate) leaves Leo for Virgo. Honor and reputation may be a big part of the morning’s headlines, as Mercury is not only 1) super high-functioning in Virgo (one of the signs it rules), but 2) will be conjunct the Fixed Star Regulus, which is all about honor and reputation. Mercury will only be in Virgo until September 10th—make the most of it in your contract negotiations and editing efforts.

Aquarius Moon opposes Jupiter at 5:31 AM ET—ain’t life grand? Implementing the Big Idea gets support from Moon’s sextile to Saturn at 8:21 AM ET—or perhaps the Big Boast is tempered by a necessary control. Either way, there’s potential for turning enthusiasm into something solid.

Moon trines high-functioning Venus in Libra at 5:59 PM ET—excellent for winning people over. How sweet. Ship it before then, as Moon goes void immediately after the Moon-Venus trine, beginning a 21-hour period of rest. This is the second of three long Moon voids we’re having this week. You know the drill: stick to routine; avoid major launches and purchases; roll with the twists and flakes that may disrupt efforts to move forward in a straight line.

CHILL.

An exacting idealism about getting things right is reflected by Mercury’s meet-up with Sun at 1:03 PM ET. This is a cazimi Mercury—Mercury in the heart of Sun, traditionally considered a moment when the Messenger Planet is exceptionally empowered. Ideas, information and communication may be illuminated with unusual clarity: a lightbulb moment, a revelation, or a message that cuts through the noise.

This is the only exact pattern today, and note that it is especially edgy and disruptive, given patterns in Friday’s Full Moon in Aquariusalso a doozy of a lunar eclipse, as I will explain next. For now, expect emotions to be on the rise, and information and communication to be wild. Keep an eye on leaders of business and state, as they are seen in the headlines as mavericks and/or mad scientists.

At 3:03 PM ET, Moon enters Pisces—seeking to work with impressions, intangibles, and ideals. Empathy and sensitivity are on the rise, along with a potential martyr-ish devotion to a dream. Moon waxes to its fullness—and is eclipsed—at 12:18 AM ET on...
