the makeup i actually wear

My makeup requirements are pretty simple. Needs to take me about 5 minutes and I don’t want to look like I’m wearing makeup.

I used to have a huge collection of makeup. Like rows and rows of lipsticks. I first started putting on actual makeup when I was in college, living abroad in Paris. It was then that I discovered YouTube and this girl called Andrea. I became obsessed. I wanted it all and was convinced I always needed the next thing.

Fifteen years later, I’m over it, and I know I like the same colors, the same finishes, and essentially the same face every day. That is peach, bronze, sheer and glowy. Once I figured that out, my makeup collection got considerably smaller. I’ll walk you through it.
