Artificial intelligence is developing incredibly fast. But what might the world actually look like just a few years from now? And what could that mean for all of us?
Our next discussion will be inspired by AI 2027: A short, engaging story that explores what could happen if AI keeps advancing at today’s pace. It’s not technical or abstract, just a thought-provoking glimpse into one possible future.
We’ll use it as a starting point to talk about the big questions:

Effectief Geven organised their first event in Antwerp and it was a great success! Mathieu’s introduction to the concept of effective giving was clear and inspiring and the vegan vol-au-vent was delicious! We are preparing a second event in Ghent on May 15th where we will be joined by Aurelia Leeuw, director of EU policy at Opportunity Green, recognized by Giving Green as one of the world’s most impactful climate organizations. Join us in Ghent for an exciting evening on beating climate change, a delightful plant-based meal, and inspiring conversations!

This approach mirrors successful strategies employed by other EA groups, such as EA London and EA Oxford, where members have organized fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and research projects to address pressing issues.
The idea? Short-term, high-impact, collaborative action.
Maybe it’s a campaign, an event, a creative stunt, a fundraiser, or something none of us have thought of yet. We’ll bring some inspiration and structure. You bring your ideas, energy, or just your curiosity.
No experience needed. Just a shared intention: to explore what we can do when we work together.

Anima International is launching its first-ever EU policy role and is seeking a Global Policy Generalist to spearhead this initiative. Based in Brussels, this position offers the chance to shape EU legislation that impacts animal welfare globally.

The Institute for AI Policy and Strategy (IAPS) is now accepting applications for its 2025 AI Policy Fellowship. This fully-funded, three-month program is designed for professionals from diverse backgrounds aiming to strengthen their practical policy skills in managing the challenges and opportunities of advanced AI.
