DrumRoll, Dr. Karmynah Helaire of the St. Tammany Physician’s Network

In recognition of her spearheading the development of the St. Tammany Health System Refill Clinic, Dr. Karmynah Helaire received the Northshore organization’s Medical Director’s Award for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Refill Clinic program established protocols to accurately complete patients’ medication lists and expedite medication refills.

“Her vision, clinical insight and unwavering commitment were instrumental in creating a program that sets a new standard of excellence. Dr. Helaire’s contributions not only ensured the program’s success but also exemplify the highest level of dedication to patient care, innovation and efficiency in workflows for our patients and providers,” said Dr. Michael Hill, St. Tammany Quality Network medical director.

Helaire sees patients at the St. Tammany Physician’s Network clinic in Folsom. She earned a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine and a master’s degree in public health from LSU School of Public Health. She served as a general medical officer in the U.S. Army. She completed a residency in the LSU Rural Family Medicine Program and is board certified in family medicine.
