For years I told women three different stories. One about hormones. One about receiving men. One about the ache to create what’s been clawing to get out of her.
I treated them like three doors. But they are one door.
A woman who can’t stay in her body can’t ovulate in a rhythm that creates life.
A woman who can’t stay in her body can’t let a man reach her, so she reaches for him instead, and he feels chased rather than wanted, and he disappears.
A woman who can’t stay in her body can’t sit still long enough to let a creative life form inside her before she abandons it for the next task.
Leaving her body happens fast.
A text goes unanswered for four hours, and her chest tightens and she is out of her body before she knows it.
It’s what a woman does when staying in her body has been unsafe or unrewarded for most of her life.
Yang got her the career, the followers, and the reliable paycheck.
Yang did not fix her fertility, attract the man who stays, or write the book that came from her soul.
It’s the egg, not the sperm. A woman anchored in her body moves in reliable cycles, summons a man who wants to close the distance himself, and creates a fertile life at any age.
It summons.
It stays put.
It lets itself be found instead of doing the hunting.
This is not passivity. Staying anchored while everything in you wants to leave is the hardest work I know. It’s a nervous system finally learning it is allowed to stop scanning for danger long enough to be touched, to ovulate, to receive an idea and let it gestate before she pummels it with adrenaline.
So when I talk about fertility now, I am not only talking about a body that makes a baby. I am talking about a woman who can stay anchored long enough to let anything come to her.
That is the beauty of the work.
