Politics is about more than one speech, one endorsement, or one day at a convention. It’s about earning trust over time.

When the Republican convention concluded, there were strong feelings on every side. James “Jamie” Millington gave the nomination speech for my opponent, and it was clear we had different views about the direction of this race.

But something important happened after the convention.

Jamie watched.

He watched me show up at Republican town committees, community events, and local gatherings across the Fourth District. He watched me answer difficult questions, engage directly with voters, and remain accessible on social media. He watched me continue to work every day—not because it was easy, but because Connecticut deserves a representative who will never stop fighting.

Most importantly, he saw persistence.

Persistence is often missing from congressional campaigns. Elections cannot be won by showing up only at election time. They are won by earning trust, being present, listening, and demonstrating that you’re willing to put in the work every single day.

That is why Jamie’s endorsement means so much to me.

It represents something larger than one individual supporting one candidate. It reflects the idea that Republicans can unite after a primary and focus on what really matters: winning in November and delivering results for Connecticut.

My motivation for running has never changed.

As both a physician and an attorney, I want to bring decades of real-world experience to Washington. At the same time, I intend to use this campaign as a platform to give Connecticut a stronger voice in Washington.

That is exactly what we’ve already begun doing.

We’ve been reaching out to federal officials, including EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Energy Secretary Chris Wright, to advocate for policies that will lower energy costs, improve affordability, and create economic opportunity for Connecticut. Our outreach on energy policy didn’t begin yesterday—it has been an ongoing effort because I believe our state’s affordability crisis requires leadership at the federal level.

Our campaign has always been built around one simple idea:

Federal solutions to local problems.

Whether it’s healthcare, energy, affordability, workforce development, or protecting Long Island Sound, Connecticut deserves someone who is willing to engage directly with federal decision-makers instead of simply talking about problems.

It is even more powerful when local Republican leaders unite behind that mission.

Jamie’s endorsement is not just a personal honor—it is another sign that our party is coming together.

Now it’s time to build on that momentum.

Early voting begins Monday, August 3, and continues through August 9. Republican Primary Day is Tuesday, August 11.

Let’s show Connecticut—and show our opponents—that while they remain divided, Republicans are united, energized, and ready to compete all the way through November.
