Several years ago (too many, really), I was hired full-time with Cracked. My job? Revitalize the long-defunct YouTube channel. By myself. Remotely. How did I do this? Well, mostly by finding other talented people, and begging them to make videos for me.
Arguably my most successful attempt was bringing on Chandler Perry and the $20 boys. Together we made so many fantastic, goofy low-budget trailer spoofs and, most importantly, I never asked them to sign over the rights to the franchise. This means that not only were they able to make several more videos independently — it also meant I could hire them AGAIN. Which I did. And this is the glorious result.
