Everything feels expensive right now.

  • Gas.

  • Groceries.

  • Housing.

  • Healthcare.

You’re not imagining it. And more importantly, it’s not random.

When prices rise across every part of your life at the same time, that’s not the market doing its thing. It’s actually a system making decisions. It’s making decisions about who benefits and who pays the price.

Here’s the hard truth: when the same people writing the rules are closely tied to the industries raising your costs, the system stops working for you. It starts working for them.

That’s why this moment feels so frustrating. People are working harder than ever, doing everything they were told to do, and still falling behind. Not because they failed—but because the system isn’t accountable.

And this isn’t about left or right.

It’s about whether the system works for you.

That’s the question at the center of everything we’re facing right now. Do the rules help everyday people build a life, or do they protect those already at the top?

I’m not coming into this pretending to have all the answers. That’s not how real solutions are built. They’re built by listening, really listening, to what people are going through, what they’re struggling with, and what they need.

But I do know this:

Costs are up because the system isn’t accountable. And if we’re serious about fixing what’s broken, we have to fix both.

This is all about Affordability and Accountability for All! That’s the work ahead.

Blessings,

Chris
