An Introduction To “The Sweet Spot”
We Renovated The Hallway
We opened the range on Wednesday, April 22. Despite poor weather, some blue sky appeared later in the afternoon, bringing out about eight people to hit balls. We’ll also be installing brand new range mats in the near future.
With conditions expected to feel more like November over the next few days, we’ve decided to close the range until next week. The golf shop will also be closed this weekend.
We’ve already had 20 juniors register for our junior coaching program. Spots are limited and filling up quickly!
The Registration deadline is May 1st.
Here are more details about our full range of corporate experiences for local businesses, including Corporate Golf Evenings, Corporate Season Passes, and Corporate Tournaments. Only a few dates remain for tournaments!
We now have an events calendar and a direct link to past issues of the newsletter.
The golf shop is fully stocked and ready to go! We carry a wide selection of men’s and women’s apparel from brands such as Adidas, Breezy Golf, TravisMathew, and FootJoy, among others. We also offer footwear from Adidas and New Balance. If you’re looking to order something specific, please let us know!
The Sweet Spot: the point or area on a bat, club, or racket that produces the most effective contact with the ball.
That’s the formal definition, but as we know, it’s not always easy to find. If you’re wondering where the sweet spot is on your irons, it’s typically in the center of the clubface, around the third groove up. If you’d like help improving your club-to-ball contact, I’d be happy to assist.
That said, when we talk about adding “The Sweet Spot,” we’re not referring to the clubface, we’re introducing a new area in the golf shop. One side will feature food and snacks, while the other will offer drinks and frozen treats. We’re still building out our selection, so if you have any recommendations, we’d love to hear them!
We’ve redone the floors in the hallway, painted the wall and replaced the old bulletin boards with some framed golf photos that were donated to the club.
With the current weather, it will still be some time before we can open the golf course. While the front nine is quite dry, the tree-lined holes will need additional time.
The forecast is looking much more promising by the middle of next week, and we hope to see you out at the range soon!
