Issue #5: April Golf Course Update

We hope you’ve had a great offseason and are looking forward to the upcoming golf season. We wanted to share an update on several course improvements and our progress toward opening.

Last fall, we completed significant levelling and improvements on several tee boxes across the course. This work was much needed and included the following tees: #1 Black, #4 Copper, #8 Silver, #9 Black, #15 Black and Gold, and #16 Black and Gold. With this work now complete, it is important that we allow adequate time for the new sod and surfaces to properly mature. At this time, we are aiming to have these select tee boxes back in play by June, depending on growing conditions.

In addition, we have undertaken extensive pond maintenance throughout the course. All ponds have been dredged, with edges cleared and depths increased to improve both aesthetics and long-term maintenance. We have also removed select trees around several ponds to make ongoing upkeep more efficient.

Notably, on the #9 greenside pond, we expanded the pond and removed the trees in front of the green to enhance visibility and playability. Material from this project has been repurposed to expand the range berm on the west side and at #3, where we have extended the tee box out over the bank. This will allow us to consolidate the Black, Gold, and Silver tees into a single, improved teeing area. As part of this change, the existing Silver tee box on #3 is being removed.

We also have plans to move the cart path on #3, relocating it toward the east side of the tee box. We encourage all players to park on this side moving forward, as it reduces the risk of being struck by golf balls coming from the #9 tee. Additionally, trees along the left side of the #3 fairway have been removed to open up the valley and improve sight lines. This change creates a more aesthetic golf hole with greater risk-reward off the tee.

As we transition into spring, our team has been actively working to accelerate course readiness. This includes blowing snow off greens and creating strips through fairways to expose turf to sunlight and promote faster melting. These efforts will help us get the course into playing condition as quickly as possible.

Weather permitting, we are tentatively planning to open the driving range on Wednesday, April 23rd. We will continue to keep you updated as conditions evolve.
