Hi!
How are you doing? How’s your week been?
I’ve got to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been so utterly thrilled to feel chilly and have to go upstairs and get a jumper (more of said jumper later - it’s a goodie!). Ditto the sound of rain during the night. The joy!!
If you’ve been dealing with GCSEs (on any level, and however remotely), I feel you. God, the education system in this country grinds my gears. We need a new expression to replace ‘square pegs and round holes’, because that’s just not cutting it anymore. But onwards on upwards. Let’s get down to the fun stuff (and there’s a lot to share this week - some weeks are just like that I find)…
*Today’s post is a eight minute read (again!), so make yourself comfortable.
Topshop organza layered bandeau dress
Topshop (I feel like they’re having a bit of a moment again) kindly asked if I wanted to choose some pieces, and I included this dress in my selects. But because it was showing low stock, they said they wouldn’t be able to send it. Fair enough. But because I loved the look of it so much, I ordered one myself anyway. It’s arrived and I love it! I will wear it with simple flat sandals. It’s just the perfect dress. I love the idea of chucking a black leather jacket over the top. I just hope I don’t have to wait until Summer 2027 to actually wear it out of the house!
*sadly it’s now only available in a 12 and a 16 (I bought a 14)
These were the other pieces I chose…
Faux Suede chiselled ballet flats
Knitted fluffy eyelash cardigan
H&M cotton cargo jacket
Because I will always have a soft spot (and a wardrobe space) for a green cargo jacket of any kind.
Mango lace frill blouse
New In at Mango is looking pretty great right now.
Reiss straw-effect beaded-strap hat
J’adore the shape of this sun hat. And the strap.
Boden silk blouse
I have been after a simple cream silk blouse for a while now. Specifically to wear open and tucked into jeans. This may well be ‘the one’.
Athropologie Eloise scallop glass tissue box cover
Because tissues boxes are boring and deserve better.
